from Google"I stayed at Hotel Indigo for a conference and decided to try Poets for dinner. I was honestly pleasantly surprised because hotel restaurants can be a gamble, but this one did not disappoint 😌✨. I ordered the Indigo Burger and it was delicious. Juicy, flavorful, and exactly what I needed after a long day. The waitress was amazing. Super nice, very attentive, and patient with all our questions. She even gave us great recommendations, which is always a good sign. The service alone had me impressed. I liked it so much that I came back a couple days later for breakfast. I ordered a simple plate with eggs, bacon, and potatoes, and let me tell you… those potatoes were everything 🥔😍. They had that perfect little crunch on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned like someone’s auntie was in the back pouring love into the skillet. They were so good I even recommended them to another potato lover. Overall, Poets definitely exceeded my expectations. Great service, great food, and now I’m slightly obsessed with their potatoes 😂🔥."
"We had hot chocolates, seafood eggs Benedict, the house breakfast, avocado toast and banana toast. The food was good! I especially liked the banana toast. The taste of the hot chocolate seemed more like milk had been warmed and chocolate syrup added (better than powdered hot chocolate). Service was a little slow but maybe they were not used to the large crowd Army Navy game brought in."
"⭐️ – A Breakfast That Left a Bad Taste… Literally and Figuratively 🍳☕🚫 Had breakfast at Poets Restaurant (inside the Indigo Hotel), and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience from the moment I walked in. When I arrived, I was immediately told, “We’re short-staffed,”—no “Good morning,” no “Welcome,” just straight into the disclaimer. Not the warmest way to be greeted before coffee. Once I was seated, the waitress walked over and said, “If you just want coffee, sit at the bar.” I told her I wanted to eat as well, but she didn’t really listen—just pointed out that I already had water and walked away. Again, no greeting, no acknowledgment, no basic hospitality. It took 10–15 minutes before she returned to take my order. I asked for the eggs benedict, which, when it arrived, was so over-salted it was almost inedible. I managed maybe a fourth of the plate before giving up. The coffee was forgettable too—flat, weak, nothing special. But honestly, the worst part wasn’t even the food. It was the atmosphere, which felt unwelcoming, rushed, and inattentive. At no point did I feel like a guest, or even like a customer. It felt like I was in the way. Bottom line: The setting may look nice, but the service was cold, the food was disappointing, and I walked out more annoyed than full. Definitely would not recommend, and I won’t be returning."
"Jeff was our oh so professional and kind waiter. He had a great and pleasant personality. Super down to earth and excellent in service with our order. He knew the menu and what was available for us to enjoy. Jeff is top notch and so was the front desk staff that suggested we come back for live jazz on Thursday evenings. The food was tasty. The crab cake could have been a bit better but overall everything was delicious. The cheese cake was a special treat we enjoyed. Thanks Jeff, Indigo hotel staff and Poets Modern Cocktails & Eats. We had an enjoyable evening 😊"
"I ate here for dinner and breakfast during my trip to Baltimore for the first time, and Brianna took great care of me 😊"
