from Google"The best food in Baltimore! We're visiting from New Jersey and we're going to miss this place 😭 food was so good we had to come back the next time and try some more"
"Being from the deep south (AL), it's hard finding real soul food. The DMV is a total bust when it it comes to true soul food. Came to Baltimore (yes, I know it's not the DMV) and found this spot, and the reviews did not disappoint. I got the turkey wings w cabbage and fries . My partner got wings w sweet potatoes and mac. Everything was delicious. Although it was a tad bit too salty. Just a little. And the mac wasn't my kind of mac, everything was still so flavorful. It's inside the food court area. You can't see it from outside. The service is what you'd expect because everything is made to order. Took about 15-20 mins, but we didn't care because it's not fast food. Blackfamilyy owned and operated. Very nice people. Clean. And they had a 90s playlist going. I can't wait to go back. The prices were what you would expect for the area. It reminded me so much of what I had in Alabama. Delicious home cooking. The only thing I wish they had was cornbread!"
"I’ve been searching high and low for good fried fish in Baltimore ever since my favorite neighborhood spot closed, and Soul Kuisine came highly recommended. Located on the first floor of Harborplace, it offers a convenient yet slightly tricky location for parking, though it’s manageable. I was excited to try their food after reading that they serve actual catfish—a rarity these days when many places substitute other fish. While they have tables for dine-in, I opted for takeout. The fried catfish was the highlight of my order. After making a stop on the way home, I tried it straight from the box. It was a bit soggy by then and rated about a 6.5 or 7/10. However, a quick two minutes in the air fryer brought it back to life, transforming it into a solid 9/10. This tells me that if eaten fresh at the restaurant, it’s probably closer to a perfect 10. The flavor was authentic, and the fish had that classic crispy coating that makes fried catfish so satisfying. The fries were seasoned frozen fries—not bad, but not the star of the show either, which is fine since I was there for the fish. Overall, Soul Kuisine has earned its spot as my go-to for fried catfish in Baltimore. If you’re a fan of fresh, well-seasoned fish, I highly recommend giving them a try—just eat it there for the best experience!"
"Staying at Inner Harbor and was looking for a black owned restaurant to support and came across this place (it's inside the mall). We arrived @ 2pm and they were already out of collards and turkey wings. Not sure if they were sold out or just didn't have any for the day. We ordered the blackened catfish, shrimp, mac n cheese, yams, rice, and green beans. I thought the green beans were a little too salty but other than than we found EVERYTHING to be very flavorful and would go back again."
