What People Are Saying
from Google"Beautiful rooftop restaurant and bar with STUNNING views of the city. Located at the Four Seasons - a spectacular hotel. Food presentation - phenomenal. Decor is so beautiful. Fresh flowers everywhere add such a beautiful touch. The bar is stunning and bartenders are super super friendly and great servers! Excellent wine choices - One of the best Reislings i have had in a very long time! Decor is beautiful - so many nice touches alllll around the restaurant and hallways. Bathrooms are decent but can use an upgrade - and the water on the floor of the toilets was a bit puzzling - and not very safe. The greatest observation was the need for towels. I understand environmental concerns but what about washable ones? The hand dryers let out freezing cold air🥶🥶 and the water is freezing - a horrible combination🫤 Food was good - not as great as I was expecting based on reviews and prices. Butternut soup was very tasty (but cold🫤) Salads were excellent - very fresh! My friends enjoyed their steak and said meat was very tender. My salmon was just okay - but presented beautifully. Mac n cheese - excellent and brussel sprouts were crunchy and flavorful. Overall ambience is AMAZING! 5 star just for views... Some adjustments are needed in bathroom and food would make it a solid 5."
"I went last night for a birthday dinner. The food, atmosphere, and service was outstanding! I ordered the lobster, and everything on my plate was packed with unique and delicious flavors that harmonized beautifully. Everything was great, the food, the kind servers, and the breathtaking panoramic view of Baltimore city! They even made my experience extra special by bringing me a birthday card and a free desert. Highly recommend!"
"The service was impeccable! The food was really good! The lamb chops were to die for ! The views are amazing ! Please go here! We went for my girls bday, and really enjoyed it! Definitely going back! The staff at the Four Seasons was amazing as well. The elevator to the restaurant has a clock above it…"
"Five stars simply aren’t enough. From the moment you step off the elevator, the setting and ambiance immediately signal something extraordinary. That first impression is elevated even further by outstanding food and attentive, seamless service. An unforgettable experience and easily the place to go. Highly, highly recommended."
"The Bygone is well-known for its stunning view overlooking Federal Hill and the Patapsco River — and it definitely lives up to the hype. Since we were staying at the Four Seasons for a few nights, we had to check it out. It’s located on the top floor of the hotel. To get there, enter the main lobby, take a right to the elevators, and check in with the staff (sometimes there’s a short wait). They’ll escort you up. There’s a dress code here — formal attire only. Men must wear a collared shirt and sports coat. No T-shirts, athletic wear, or hats allowed. We visited a few times during our stay and really enjoyed the overall experience. The bar staff is attentive and quick to take your drink order. Each cocktail is handcrafted and solid, though none really stood out as exceptional. We mostly went for the view (and the convenience of being at the hotel). We did order food on one visit — the mac & cheese was delicious, creamy, and had nice notes of herbs and pepper. My husband got the crab dip as an appetizer, which he really enjoyed as well. I highly recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends. It gets busy fast — when we arrived early on Friday evening, we were the first ones there, but by 8 PM the place was packed. My favorite part is the upstairs area, where they usually host the DJ. It feels more intimate and relaxed, and you can always head downstairs afterward to take in the view. I’m giving four stars instead of five because two out of our three visits, my card was charged twice by mistake. It felt a bit inconsistent and unprofessional for such an upscale spot. I understand things can get hectic when it’s crowded, but I do think they could be a bit more organized given the high-end presentation. Overall, The Bygone is definitely worth visiting — for the views, the atmosphere, and the convenience if you’re staying at the Four Seasons. Just keep an eye on your tab!"
