"We were searching for a cute, classy bar with great happy hour deals on a Saturday afternoon when we stumbled upon The Owl Bar — and what a delightful discovery it was! Tucked inside the historic Belvedere, this bar is truly a step back in time. We quickly learned that The Owl Bar has hosted countless celebrities, names like Sarah Jessica Parker, Al Pacino, Danny DeVito, and many more have all dined or sipped here. They have also hosted well-known performers, musicians, and even political figures over the decades. Hearing stories from the knowledgeable Brian (our bartender) made the experience even more fascinating. Their happy hour menu offered excellent deals on both food and drinks. I ordered a margarita and wings, while our friends enjoyed their cocktails and a pretzel. We were tempted to try the brick oven pizza — they have a real wood-fired oven installed after the remodel. Except, we had dinner reservations later that evening. Next time, it’s definitely on our list! The atmosphere is nothing short of stunning. Stained glass, vintage decor, and a dark, intimate setting create a warm and elegant vibe. My favorite touch? The zebra-print booth seating — a bold and unexpected detail that gives the space real character. Service was top-notch from start to finish. The staff was organized, friendly, and efficient — no wait time, quick cleanup, and plenty of attention to detail. It’s bittersweet that the Belvedere no longer operates as a hotel, but we learned that many of the rooms have been converted into private condos. The building still hosts events and weddings in its gorgeous ballrooms, which you can even tour on weekends. If you’re looking for a place that blends rich history, atmosphere, and quality service, The Owl Bar is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommend!"

"Brunch on Saturday—we were the first one there! Dark and rustic vibes, super cool. Just a little empty. Got the baked brie and truffle burger with house fries! Friends got biscuits (gravy was delicious) and belvedere breakfast without meat. Everything came out fresh and hot, and portions were generous! This place pleasantly surprised us! Would come again to try the duck fat fries."

"The Owl Bar is Located inside the Historic Belvedere Hotel in Baltimore Maryland. Take time to look at the picture wall with all the famous people that have stayed, played or visited this place. The Owl bar is an old Speakeasy from back in the prohibition days you can still see wood and decor from the early 1900s."

"The entrance to get to this bar is absolutely stunning - the neon sign announcing the hotel outside - the magnificent flower bouquet (fake, but it looks great!) and then a hallway where you can read the history and see the celebrities that have graced the bar. Not this bar though…. I hope. Because while perfectly polite a discerning patron would find the service lacking. The martini I ordered came quite strong and quite tepid. Not blended nearly enough to keep it crisp. I was drinking room temperature gin after two sips. Then - well meaning as it was - a bartender started going around the bar spraying cleaner right onto the bar. Not her towel or away from patrons/drinks but right in the bar, getting spray most certainly in, near, and around the drinks. A simple issue that could be fixed. Lastly - I went on a slow Saturday apparently: last call was 9:45 with an abrupt and resounding/blaring “The Party’s Over” by Willie Nelson. Yes - it was time to go at 9:53p on a Saturday. I just hope all those celebrities had a different experience or I fear few others will show up in the future."
