from Google"TL;DR: Hidden speakeasy vibes, great cocktails, and an awesome spot to unwind before a night out in Federal Hill. Located on the top level of Crossbar Biergarten, The Wurst is a true hidden gem. You would never know it was there unless someone told you. The entrance is literally a walk-in freezer door just to the left of the stairs on the second floor, which adds to the fun speakeasy feel. We stopped in for pregame drinks before a nearby Yelp Elite event, and it did not disappoint. We were the only ones in the bar, and our bartender was fantastic, quick, friendly, and clearly knew his craft. I ordered a Paper Plane, a whiskey based cocktail with Aperol, lemon, and Amaro Nonino. It was perfectly balanced and the ideal drink to have after work. My fiancée ordered the Pornstar Martini, which she became very familiar with during a recent trip to Paris. The Wurst’s version was a bit unorthodox since they serve the champagne on the side instead of as a floater on top. Not a negative, just different, and more of a deconstructed approach that some might treat like a chaser. Overall, The Wurst is a really cool concept bar that feels unlike anything else in Federal Hill. Between the hidden entrance, relaxed atmosphere, and quality drinks, it is definitely worth checking out if you enjoy creative cocktails and a good story to go with them."
"The Wurst has some positives—the service is good and the bartenders are friendly and welcoming. The drinks are creative and enjoyable, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short. The space is extremely small, which made it feel cramped and uncomfortable, especially during busy hours. Additionally, the music selection didn’t match the vibe you'd expect for a lively night out. It lacked energy and didn’t do much to create a party atmosphere. With a few adjustments, this place could be more enjoyable, but for now, it feels more style than substance."
"Unfortunately I’m updating my review. It’s interesting that “Wurst” is a pun for “worst” because that’s exactly what this place has become. First of all: They now charge a mandatory/automatic 20% tip, regardless of party size! (We were just 2 people). But this information is not displayed anywhere that I noticed. (For the record, we ALWAYS tip at least 30% or more) But the “wurst/worst” part was how bad the service sucked. I always order a cocktail that comes with a sidecar, and that’s a major draw to this particular cocktail. Tonight there was no sidecar. When we asked about it, the bartender was like, “Oh yeah, we ran out of shot glasses, so I just poured it on top.” And then he proceeded to just walk away … The bar was not busy at all, and there were zero patrons in the bar/restaurant downstairs. So if they truly ran out of shot glasses, then that means they simply didn’t have any. Which is weird. BECAUSE IT’S A BAR. Or, maybe he didn’t care because he knew he was getting at least 20% of two over-priced drinks regardless ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Terrible service, the drink sucked, and it basically ruined the start to our evening. Which is a bummer, because we’ve always loved this place in the past :( :( :( :( :( BTW: We own an Airbnb and have this place as a recommendation for guests. That recommendation has been removed."
"The ambiance was great the staff are well versed in the specialty cocktails and very friendly. Definitely is my go to place for drinks."
"I had The Wurst time 😅 Just kidding! @thewurstbar is the perfect little escape from the Fed Hill sports crowd! -This little speakeasy with dim lighting and tasty strong drinks is exactly what I needed.
