What People Are Saying
from Google"Beautiful monument and a great view at the top. Be prepared to climb up a lot of steps. There are almost no windows on the way up, which makes it seem like it takes longer to get to the top in my opinion."
"The view from the Washington Monument is beautiful, but the climb inside is narrow, airless, and can feel claustrophobic. There’s no open space at the top, only narrow closed glass doors. I don't recommend it for anyone sensitive to tight, poorly ventilated spaces."
"The holiday monument lighting is always a wonderful time in Bmore. Morgan State University choir come year after year raising spirits and getting the holiday season of to a great start."
"Neat historic monument. Entry is cheap, only $6 to go up. Unfortunately you can't go our in thr observations deck on top but it's still fun."
"Went in blind and left impressed! We visited this landmark on a whim, mainly just wanted to snap a few photos but was pleasantly surprised to find out you can actually climb it. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout. There’s a small fee to go up, and it’s about 227 steps to the top (a bit of a workout!), but totally worth it! You even get a fun sticker at the end for bragging rights. The views from the top are absolutely gorgeous!"
