What People Are Saying
from Google"A wonderful addition to this side of Bethesda. One employee, Ian, unexpectedly opened the door for me and gave a friendly greeting exclaiming he's there "all the time," which set a positive and welcoming tone for the entire experience. The store in general is a bit pricey but is overall high quality, so you get what you pay for ultimately. In defense of the store, it is in an area with very high rent so they don't have much of a choice. Zach behind the register provided my clueless self with knowledgeable and kind guidance. We chatted about different types of Wagyu beef. He was available for questions the entire time and seemed very knowledgeable. Thank you Zach for making me feel welcomed even after I admitted I was just there to look around! The butcher staff behind the counter sound both confident and competent, I look forward to coming back here to pickup some steaks whenever I'm making them next. The quality of the meat looked great and I was tempted to abort my dinner plans for a nice New York Strip right then snd there. The rockstar staff they have stand out most, If customer service and a human touch is something you value highly than this is going to be a much better experience versus the supermarket butcher and that's before counting the quality of the meat."
"My first visit to The Organic Butcher was an absolute delight, and I’m officially a fan! The quality of the meats and produce is exceptional, clearly fresh, thoughtfully sourced, and beautifully presented. Beyond that, the store offers wonderful culinary gems like French butter and other specialty delights that make you want to cook something special the moment you get home. What truly set this experience apart was the outstanding customer service. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, and Talen in particular went above and beyond. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate, Talen made the entire experience feel personal and effortless. The shop itself is spotless, well organized, and inviting, with a lovely wine selection that perfectly complements their offerings. This was my first visit, but it certainly won’t be my last. I’ll absolutely be back!"
"The absolute best spot in Bethesda for fresh fish, poultry, and meat. I stop by multiple times a week because the quality is unbeatable; everything is so fresh, it makes cooking a joy. The produce is excellent, the cheese selection is outstanding, and there’s always something new and fun to discover on the shelves. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming; it truly feels like a classic mom-and-pop neighborhood store rather than just another shop. Going there never feels like a chore; it’s genuinely a delight every time!!"
"I've been a loyal customer of this store for years, ever since I first discovered it in McLean. Now, I exclusively source all my meat here. The staff at both locations is fantastic, and many, like Eric (aka The Maven), work across both stores. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the customer experience. The butcher has created a warm, welcoming environment that feels more like a community space than just a store. The staff is not only extremely knowledgeable but also genuinely friendly, making every visit a pleasure. And make sure to ask Ted (aka Sauce Man) about his latest creations—his Amarillo sauce has been a huge hit in my house!"
"Best meat market I’ve been to in some time and I’m 70…with fresh vegetables, bread and authentic pasta. Beautiful, quality meats, poultry and fish. Friendly and qualified butchers who ask what I want and then suggest and create the cut for my recipes. We live in the Shenandoah Valley and come by here to stock up whenever visiting family in Bethesda. Love this place."
