The young lady behind the counter was one of the two owners of this business. She was very efficient, courteous, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about the product and the value they offer. It was a pleasure to learn about the coffee and to drink it."

"Went in for coffee and came out with half a dozen empanadas. Sooo delicious! I sliced the empanadas in thirds as breakfast for the family and was the Hero of Saturday morning. "Absolutely loved this spot in downtown Frederick! Tierra y Taza has such a warm, inviting atmosphere that celebrates Latin American culture in the best way. I ordered the Costa Rican pour-over, and it was so smooth and flavorful it didn’t even need cream or sugar. I also tried Sandy’s Creation(sourdough with arugula, pesto, cheese, and turkey), which had all my favorite things in one bite. The conchas and empanadas were also amazing, packed with flavor and baked perfectly. The vibe here is spot-on—great music, cozy setting, and it honestly feels like stepping into a little café in Central/South America. Between the food, coffee, and ambiance, there’s nothing more I could ask for. Definitely will be coming back here every time I’m in the area!"
