What People Are Saying
from Google"As a Honduran, I know all about the real deal when it comes to authentic food! So, when I was walking through the mall and smelled something so good and closed to Caribbean food , I was totally surprised. It took me right back to the vibes, so I had to try the rice and beans, plantain, and chicken. I was so impressed that I couldn’t stop at just one! I even came back for seconds and thirds! Plus, the service was super attentive. Definitely Recommend. ONG. Torch AF."
"This was the most fantastic Carribean type food I've ever had. They even managed to make me enjoy plantains. I'm not normally a fan. Everything is flavorful, the meat has a nice bite to it, and even the rice and beans taste fantastic. No dryness anywhere. It's slightly pricy but very worth for a good amount of food for high quality. 1000% recommend!!! Thank you :)"
"Just by the aroma I could tell the food was going to be good. The customer service was amazing, felt at home. Definitely coming back!"
"This is Most definitely not Dominican OR Haitian food being cooked here and to say it is highly disrespectful. I spent $100 on 2 dish and a few “pastelitos”, what a disappointment. The tostones were dryer than the meat, the Rice and peas taste like absolutely nothing. Cabage and potatoes in the pastelitos 😳 just nasty. I had to throw everything away. Garbage"
"Tucked away in the mall food court, it's a small place with big flavors. They love to welcome their place as "home" and to get comfortable. Ordered the empanadas dominicana, haitian legumes, a coffee, and the green day juice today (spent around $40ish total today), but had stopped by for a mango smoothie a few days ago for the first time as well and had to come back to check out the food. Food: Haitian legumes dish came with rice and fried plantains. It's cooked in beef and the chunks of meat were so tender. I may need to come back just to have this dish again. Rice was cooked right and the plantains were nice and crunchy but soft on the inside without being mushy. Good portion too, so I had enough to take home to eat for dinner. As for the empanada, the one I had a good crunchy outside and a tasty filling, but the filling wasn't proportional to the size of the empanadas (since I had to get a fork to keep pulling the filling forward). So that was a bit of a disappointment after reading such good reviews about it. I had to bite off a few filling-less bites before I got to really enjoy it. If only there was less empanada dough or more filling comparable to the big size of the dough, it just kind of left something to be desired even though it was tasty. Drinks: The smoothies/juice were both amazing and my bf will probably be back to get some more again soon even though we're only in town for a few more days, haha. Black coffee was straightforward and I drank it all, haha. Atmosphere/Service: I loved how welcoming the staff was. Pretty sure I met the owner the first time and he let me try the juices before purchasing as well. Today, everyone said hi and bye. Just a solid place and happy I got to experience it."
