What People Are Saying
from Google"Service was great, staff was very accommodating when I ordered a drink that wasn’t on menu. Food was delicious (Sunset burrito and cinnamon scones). While the atmosphere wasn’t “cozy,” (if that’s what you value) there was ample community seating and the set up allowed me to navigate very easily with my stroller (which is pretty big) and I could say it would do the same for wheelchairs too. Also loved seeing a self serve coffee station, which seems increasingly rare these days. Will come back again."
"I visited for the first time around 11:00 a.m. to pick up a couple of burritos and a coffee. The staff was polite, but the operation itself was surprisingly inefficient. Despite ordering something as basic as a double macchiato—two espresso shots with milk—I waited 40 minutes for my drink. The shop was busy, but the focus seemed less on serving customers and more on cultivating a particular aesthetic. It appears to be a space designed primarily for a younger crowd that values vibe over speed, consistency, or quality. For anyone on a schedule or expecting professional-level service, this may not be the right fit. The tight space was also filled with multiple dogs, which made dining inside uncomfortable and unappealing. That alone would discourage me from eating there again. Overall, this doesn’t feel like a café built for working adults or customers who value efficiency and execution. This was my first visit and will be my last. I’ll be returning to places where time, order flow, and customers are treated as priorities. I’m not hating the place, it’s just not for me."
"If I’m ever out in the Severna Park area I always make a trip to Rise Up. Their coffee is SO STRONG. Which I love. And it tastes good! Their syrups are pretty good, I usually go with the Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte and it’s delicious. I also love their happy cow vegan breakfast burrito. I do wish I could order food at the drive thru they have since I have a one year old that’s usually sleeping in the backseat but I get it. A bit small on the inside for the amount of foot traffic, I probably wouldn’t post up here to study or work but they have a nice outdoor seating area when it’s warmer out."
"The burrito was pretty good. The service took a long time and it kinda sucked. It didnt seem like anyone was in charge of anything. With the right management this place would be amazing. I also want to add that if you are not a Gay or a Trans person or not looking to socilize in space made for gay and trans people then this place will not be a good time. Thi sisnt a coffe spot as much as it is a LGBTQ ish, light starbucks, dog cafe attached to a mini home depot. I didnt hate the place, but it's not how I like to start my day so I will never go back. Anyone else know where to get a brekfast burrito in this town?"
"Fantastic as always. Riseup is a good solid local coffee joint. This is the place to be when you need some coffee, breakfast orn a quick snack. This location has a whole walk-in "vault" for their beans. It's both hilarious and awesome at the same time. I love being able to get a drink with syrup flavors added that is not overwhelming. Often places think you want it overly-saturated sweet and that's not me and it's not them. It's a great blend and i'm appreciative of it. This location is brand new and very fresh. They have a good bit of space to sit in chairs and a tall table with stools as well. If you want a quick coffee you can roll up to their coffee warmers up front, grab a cup fill it and drop your cash in the bucket and just leave. If it's busy and all you want is drip this is literally the best thing. It's so fast and efficient and I wish more places did this Go get yourself some rise up!"
