from Google"I came here for my birthday brunch with the girlies and had a cute time!! I have been wanting to try it out since coming across a TikTok review, and was super excited. Now this area was packed and busy, there was a mini farmers market happening behind Zinnia's, and also Christmas tree pickup, so parking was a little stressful. I luckily found parking in the lot across the street when someone was leaving, however, give yourself an extra 5-10 minutes to find parking. My friends were almost late for our reservations because they had to park a few blocks away. There are two floors, and we sat downstairs, and it was so cute and cozy. Our waiter Kevin was THE BEST!! He was so warm, and we felt so welcomed by him (please give him a raise). I ordered a chai latte, quiche with a side of old bay fries, and the challah French toast for my friends and I to share. I am a sucker for fries and was excited to pair them with my food. I personally enjoyed my food a lot. My quiche needed a bit of salt love, but everything was super good. At the end, they gave us a postcard with our receipt, which I was super excited for. I LOVE that they played live music. It truly adds to the atmosphere. It did get really loud, and they were receptive to toning it down. The hostesses who checked us in were cold and standoffish. It could have been because the place was really busy, chaotic, and overstimulating, but I don't know. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior, and the pictures don't do it this place justice, ESPECIALLY for the downstairs. I would 100% come back. My mom would love this, so you will see me again with her."
"Group of us enjoyed drinks and dinner here. The menu-listed mixed drinks including the summer sangria that I had were done well. The smoked trout tartine was excellent except the bread was a bit over toasted. The soup of the day chicken lentil soup was delightful although the spice level was understated. The shrimp Po boy sandwich included noticeable amounts of shrimp and a tangy remoulade sauce. Others enjoyed the fried green tomatoes and nicely moist fried chicken, the shrimp and lobster grits, and the gnocchi."
"We celebrated my husband’s birthday with a brunch here. I was lucky to get squeezed in for a reservation last minute as they were pretty booked out. The food is nicely presented and flavored. We got the po boy sandwich with salad, shrimp and grits and French toast. The shrimp and grits were good but my husband would prefer to leave out the green onions that were sprinkled on top. I enjoyed the po boy shrimp sandwich. Our daughter loved the French toast. The interior is so charming! The outdoor garden area could be nicer. The furniture looks worn out and could use some spray painting or replacing. The umbrellas could be replaced with better designs and colors. If that is done well, the garden could be an amazing space. Edit: we brought our parents here for the dinner on a Tuesday and were pleasantly surprised by the Happy Hour menu items. We don’t drink alcohol but could still order from it. We were warmly treated by the waitress who was ultra attentive. We the ordered hamburger (so juicy!), mussels (highly recommend!), steak (would not order again), lobster and grits (very flavorful), and cauliflower (delicious). Everything was so delicious! Increasing our rating from 4 to 5 stars!"
"Before our High Tea reservation at Zinnia, a few of us enjoyed $10 Old Fashioned during happy hour at the upstairs bar. Even though we arrived early, we weren't seated until our exact reservation time. The High Tea experience is only available to those who pre-book and is limited to parties of 2-8 guests. Once seated, we were promptly asked if we preferred still or sparkling water--though we weren't informed there was a $10 per adult charge for sparkling water. On a positive note, they offer a lovely selection of 12 teas. Our server highly recommended their fruit teas, so I opted for the Goji Berry Herbal Tea. We were served plates of fresh fruit--gooseberries, kiwi, and starfruit--before the tea towers arrived, but we had to ask several times for silverware, as none was provided initially. The tea towers were beautifully presented, and I appreciated that they had customized options for various dietary needs (gluten-free, kids, pescatarian, vegan, vegetarian), and they were able to accommodate my allergies. However, one guest had a nut allergy and wasn't informed about the cranberry-walnut bread used in the brie and fig jam sandwich. Each tower came with seven savory and five sweet items. My top picks were the Coronation Chicken with Mango Chutney and the Chocolate Mousse with Fresh Raspberry. Toward the end, we had to request boxes and scone condiments multiple times. When it came time to pay, we were surprised to see a 20% service charge automatically added, along with a suggested gratuity of 20-30%."
"This place was amazing! We spontaneously stopped in for brunch and were so pleasantly surprised. If you are looking for a really fresh, flavorful, farm to table vibe this place is perfect. We sat at the bar and the restaurant felt historic but modern at the same time. We order the French toast, shrimp and grits (recommended by the server) and the eggs Benedict. The shrimp and grits are a must, so flavorful and great texture. The French toast was out of this world! The benedict had a great flavor but we wish the egg was a little softer/runnier. We will definitely be back!"
