What People Are Saying
from Google"Takoma Bev Co is a great spot! I tried the full breakfast and it was delicious — fresh, well-seasoned, and very satisfying. The place does get really crowded, but that just shows how popular it is. Friendly vibe and definitely worth a visit."
"Cool local spot. Staff are friendly and personable. Lovely assortment of loose leaf teas. Usually packed with friendly faces and you can usually find a seat near an outlet. Great place to lock in or connect with others."
"Takoma Beverage Company has a laid-back vibe with the option of indoor seating or a patio out front. We went for the outdoor setup, and with the big awning and a nice breeze, it was a comfortable spot to eat even with the temps in the mid-80s. Food-wise, we tried the Italian Combo, a salad topped with grilled chicken, a chicken wrap, and fries. Everything came out fresh, straightforward, and tasty. The menu leans casual but still feels put together. Overall, it is an easy place to relax, grab a bite, and enjoy a drink. Nothing over the top. Just a solid neighborhood hangout we would be glad to return to. #TakomaBeverageCompany, #TakomaParkEats, #CasualDining, #FoodieFinds, #LocalEats"
"I recently moved to Takoma and so I’m still trying local shops. Instead of going to one of the cafes I’ve already tried and loved, I decided to try Takoma Bev co. When I arrived the line was long, but I still decided to try it because I’ve been to many busy restaurants that have good customer service and bring food out fast even when they are slammed. I’ll start with the good, my latte I ordered was delicious creamy and came out fast because one of the staff put my order in while I was still in line. Unfortunately the food was an entirely different experience. I ordered the adobo fried chicken wrap to go. After waiting half an hour and still no order, I asked one of the staff if he could check to see where my order was in line and give an eta of when it would be ready. He was very dismissive and rude, nonchalantly and unapologetically saying that they were busy and he can’t do anything for me. Meanwhile, all I asked for was an eta, not to make the food come faster. I was shocked that a) it was taking this long b) the staff was so rude when I simply asked for the status of my order. When I finally got my food, a simple wrap and fries almost 40 minutes after I ordered it, I was underwhelmed with what I got. The fries and the wrap were bland. The wrap also was described as fried chicken, but it was just actually grilled or shredded. I couldn’t even finish it, I ate half and threw the rest away. Thus paying $26 for bland food that took over half an hour and came with rude customer service was absolutely not worth it to me. I should have patronized one of the other local cafes where I can pay the same or less for much better service and more flavorful food."
"The Takoma Breakfast Sandwich was so yummy! I enjoyed the macchiato it was so well done it reminded me of my time in Italy and my wife who is from Italy said it reminded her of home. Well done! I also like how they sold paintings and had a nice little bar area with very affordable beer and wine prices. I will definitely come back in the future!"
