"We tried Walters for the first time on Monday and what a pleasant surprise. The sanwiches were very good but the real highlight was the mushroom soup! It is highly recomended. Walters is not a cheap place but one where you feel welcome and have a nice meal."

"I tried Walter's for the first time today and after the experience I wish I'd gone there sooner! The atmosphere is cozy and exudes great energy. The owners were so welcoming and you can tell they really pay attention to the details of the food and the space. The sandwich I had was phenomenal on house baked focaccia and served with fresh local greens that were the perfection of simplicity. I also tried the andouille sausage and black bean soup which was exactly what I wanted on a cool fall afternoon. This is high quality food that's made with care. It's now my new favorite lunch spot!"

"Brand new Cafe in the Tontine hiding on the ground level. Entrances where Bart&Greg's was or near Eveningstar door. Assortment of wicked fresh sandwiches, coffee (the good stuff), and salads (themed around the local farms the veggies are from). Sarah's "Palo Alto" Italian was spectacular. Fresh baguette, mozz, greens, prosciutto. Iced coffee was smooth and on point. Very high quality, reasonable prices. A fantastic breakfast/lunch addition to downtown. Walter & staff were great. Cannot wait to eat through the rest of the menu."

"We stopped in lower level of Tontine Mall for lunch and loved the choices available, service, ambiance. Perfect spot for a meal or snack w friends, solo, or work..free WiFi. We had curry chicken salad (see photo - a thing of beauty), pulled pork over mac n' cheese w green salad (sounds heavy but was juicy and light!!!! how did he 'pull' that off? the salad was dressed lightly with perfect magic! I want the recipe.), cinnamon pecan coffee cake (light as air w perfect sweetness and crunch). Walter's menu varies and displays a lively, fresh, creative palate in the kitchen.
