"We were vacationing in Freeport and found this place. It's a really nice breakfast and lunch place. We liked it so much we decided to go again as we were leaving to go back home. The staff was wonderful and the food was fantastic. I had the sausage gravy and biscuits the first time with fresh homemade biscuits. The next time I had an omelette."

"I always look for "little, mom and pop place" to eat wherever I go and this place fit the bill perfectly! This December morning threw them for a loop with a temperature of -5° when they opened at 7am and froze their water. So no coffee or hot chocolate for a few minutes until they got the problem resolved. But their grill was going and they took care of the 5 tables that were already filled up on a frigid Tuesday morning. I got what has to be, easily the best ham egg and cheese sandwich I've ever had! Great food and great service!"

"Unbelievable! We are staying locally and looking for a real diner experience and a good breakfast on a Saturday morning. This place did not disappoint, everything was excellent, the bacon, the ham, the potatoes, the bread, the service, etc! We waited, but it was worth every waiting minute. "We stayed at the Best Western Hotel overnight and arrived around 9am on a Friday morning for breakfast. There was about 5 families queued ahead of us. The staff worked like a well oiled machine to seat the hungry customers. Portions were massive and well worth the 10-15$ per plate. I ordered the Freeport breakfast this was on the smaller side and I still struggled to eat everything). Pumpkin spice coffee was amazing, and the sourdough toast was top notch. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. This establishment deserves more than 5 stars. Excellent breakfast. Can’t wait to come back 🤗"

"We had the most wonderful experience and waiter, Sam, when cousins met for the first time in over 50 years! He understood our joy and excitement and insisted that we not rush. The breakfast we had was delicious! I hadn’t had biscuits and gravy here in Maine that rivaled Lenny’s in Tampa Bay until I came to Freeport Cafe! My cousins loved their meals as well…..but, it was because of Sam that we had the memorable experience that we did!"
