"We ordered our wedding cake from Bread & Roses and we were blown away!!!!! Best cake I have ever had and every single person who had a slice said the same - we’ve been talking about it for days. So delicious and nailed my inspo perfectly. We got a chocolate and vanilla layered cake with chocolate mousse inside and vanilla frosting outside. Sounds basic but we’re from out of town and couldn’t do a tasting so went with a “safe” option and it was incredible. I can’t wait to visit them again in the future."

"Best blueberry pie we've had in Maine! We were looking for a bakery with homemade treats and Maine blueberries, and this place had plenty of delicious options. Also, the lemon blueberry cake is amazing and full of flavor! Prices are fair for the quality of ingredients, but you'll wanna get one of everything and spend more than you planned, ha ha. The Ogunquit location is really small and doesn't have dedicated parking, but they seemed to have a bigger selection of treats. The Wells location is 10 minutes away and has parking, so it's easy to check out both bakeries if one location is sold out of what you want."

"I was in Maine last week and wanted to bring back a really good Blueberry pie so I found this place online. We picked up the pie first thing on Thursday September 24. I was shocked at the price $37 for a pie and it wasn't even a very large pie. Anyway I was bringing it to a party back home in NY and I told our guests that this is supposed to be the best Blueberry pie in Maine. We'll we were all so disappointed. The crust was tasteless no buttery flaky taste and texture. It was the consistency of cardboard. The fruit was ok but for me the crust is everything in a good pie. I feel like I got ripped off, there's no way this pie was worth nearly $40"

"This place should have around a 4.7 rating but I see a handful of entitled smooth brain tourists have given this place a 1 star rating after clearly being rude to the staff and being angry that they don’t bend over backwards for them. Anyone who doesn’t appreciate how special this place is has no idea what they are talking about when it comes to food. I live and Boston and will make a special trip here whenever I am near by. My wife and I just planned a vacation to Ogunquit and I said “I can’t wait to go to Bread and Roses every day”. I’ve been to dozens if not a hundred bakeries in my life and this is easily in the top 3 all time. Their blueberry whoopie pie and muffins are other worldly and the best I’ve ever had. Their biscuits and breakfast sandwiches will change your life. Truly some of the best bites of food I’ve ever had. This place is very special and if you appreciate high quality hand crafted food you will adore it like I do."
