What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Great place to get out of the chilly breezy day. Busy but well organized. They kept an eye on the door and tried to direct people into the line for smooth service. Everyone behind the counter was good natured and worked well together. A great “coffeehouse” atmosphere. We sat on the side and were able to enjoy the space inside while admiring the Portland streetscape. Oh! The coffee was great too! Smooth. Great taste. Well worth the stop!"
"As soon as you walk into Bard coffee, you would know that you’re gonna have amazing coffee from the smell of their coffee beans. I had the maple latte. It was good but a bit sweet, so if you don’t like sugar it’s better to stick with the regular latte. I had a sip from my friend’s caramel latte and it was so good, less sweet than the maple one."
"Cute cafe, their latte was smooth and perfectly balanced.. the vibe inside is pretty welcoming and bright.. good spot to work or just relax.. tried their Danish too which was not sweet but flavorful with cottage cheese and asparagus. One of the best coffee shops I have tried In Portland (;"
"This place makes the most perfect mocha - in appearance and taste. Just sweet enough without being overpowering with 10/10 presentation. I came here every day of my trip because I didn’t want to be disappointed at another shop!"
"Bard Coffee is by far my favorite coffee shop in Maine. The beverages are great and the atmosphere is energizing. Having lived in San Francisco and experienced the coffee shop scene where it feels all the great minds meet there to build the future - Bard Coffee gives me that same feeling. I love that they kept their store to strictly hot beverages (and very few pastries). Sometimes coffee culture can easily be diluted when other drinks or food is introduced to the menu. Bard is really an extension of my home"
