"This was my first time visiting Portland and we stopped in for brunch. There was about a 15 min wait and we were seated promptly after. The server was very accommodating and friendly. We got the lobster roll and lobster and swiss melt and both sandwiches were delicious and had a good amount of lobster in them. The lobster roll came with delicious and perfectly crunchy fries too. I would highly recommend stopping here for a meal if you are in town."

"I had pretty high expectations going into this diner, and while everything didn’t quite blow me away, it was still a solid experience overall. The food was okay nothing exceptional, but definitely enjoyable. What really stood out was the service. The staff was friendly, and made the visit feel welcoming from start to finish. We went on a weekend for brunch, it wasn’t too busy so we didn’t wait but maybe there’s a wait time during the weekends."

"This place missed the mark. Not off to a good visit here in Portland while I am exploring the food scene. My husband and two kids decided to come here for lunch. I was down, looking for some good comfort food. I also wanted to try Maine's infamous lobster roll. I figured this is a signature dish of Maine, and it should be good no matter where I go, right? Wrong. There is a place in Virginia Beach, Virginia that has better tasting lobster rolls. Come on!!! This lobster roll was bland, no personality on this plate at all. For $34 (market price), I feel cheated. Husband had a cheese steak sandwich. He said his food also tasted bland, no hint of salt or any other seasoning. Ill let the rest of the photos speak for themselves. Our waitress was OK, friendly but not much else to say as far as service. The short woman who is running the appetizer plates to the table however is another story. Out of 4 plates, she delivered 2 dirty plates. We requested two clean plates and this woman acted as if we were inconveniencing her. I would think if a customer was spending even $10 at your restaurant, you wouldn't act as though these requests were an inconvenience, but to each their own. But spending $100+ on a mediocre experience (food and all) just left us with a bad taste. We were left with a lost opportunity to have gone somewhere else (maybe cheaper) and gotten better tasting food with overall better service. Glad im just visiting, because if I were a local, I wouldn't come back."

"We have been here this October and the food at this restaurant was incredibly delicious for the price. Their lobster roll and clam chowder were simply amazing, and the stuffed lobster was equally tasty. However, the only reason I didn’t give them a perfect score is because of a small mistake made by the server. Instead of serving us one 1.5-pound serving of stuffed lobster, she brought us two. I politely informed her that I was certain it was a misunderstanding and didn’t want the extra lobster. She took the extra one back, but after that, her behavior changed, and she became less friendly. I’m sure I didn’t order two lobsters because I had already made up my mind even before entering the restaurant. Misunderstandings happen, and I understand that she may not have heard me clearly due to the noise. However, I don’t understand why this mistake should upset someone or cause them to change their behavior."

"Great place! Great food. The homemade corned beef hash was out of this world. The service was good. Prices were fair for the location. The place is old and could use a little updating but everything was clean. The fruit bowl was super generous and very fresh with a very yummy yogurt and granola. It's rare that a breakfast place puts that much effort into their fruit bowls."
