from Google"I've eaten a lot of lox bagels in my life. I was somewhat disappointed by this one. Very salty and the lox was tough. Most places put long slices of lox but it was only short little pieces. The portion was generous though. The saltiness came from what I believe was regular table salt they added. Which on top of capers and lox can be overpowering. The capers were very salty instead of having that classic brine favor. The coffee was delicious and had more flavor than the service. The place was very clean. Prices were fair for the location and fare. I'd try something else next time."
"We had a wonderful breakfast at Mr Bagel. The bagels were toasted perfectly & the blueberry cream cheese was delicious. My son had the TexMex - it was really tasty & a solid breakfast. Also they saved my head band when I forgot it there. Really nice people!"
"I just moved to Portland about a month ago and I’ve had the opportunity to visit Mister Bagel twice now. Both times I was blown away by how delicious the bagels are- truly among the best I’ve eaten in my life. Being a NYC bagel girl, I find myself to be a bit of a bagel snob and Mister Bagel tops them all. Apart from the delicious bagels, the service is fast and friendly and the shop is warm and inviting with good music, plus the prices are very reasonable for Portland. The staff is so kind and were so great at making me feel welcome in my new city. Pictured in this review was my delicious bacon egg and cheese on a sesame bagel, however I have previously had a bagel with their cream cheese and that was equally as delicious."
"I ordered a breakfast bagel with no cheese. Bagel came out with cheese. When I took it back the chef started yelling at me. Literally. I asked if he would rather give me my money back and he said “yes”. Reminded me of the soup Nazi from Seinfeld. Terrible way to treat a customer. I rate food average as I didn’t have any. Cashier was friendly."
"TIPS: on a Friday morning when the local breakfast restaurants have a 40 minute this is a go to PROS: No wait, 3 options for coffee, good organic coffee, fast service, plenty of seating CONS: No everything bagel, average bagel breakfast sandwich After finding out Bayside American Cafe and Hot Suppa both had 40 minute wait we decided to walk to Mister Bagel. The atmosphere is perfect for a bagel shop, however they were playing hip hop music pretty loud on a Friday morning. I was disappointed they didn’t have an everything bagel, so I went with sesame instead. We ended up ordering sausage, egg, and Swiss cheese on a sesame bagel with two coffees. The sandwich bagel was pretty average and the bagel was rather small. Nothing special about it. However, I really like their Wicked Joe regular coffee. I tried the Wicked Joe dark roast and it was too bold for me. My stomach is content and I did not have to wait 40 minutes."
