What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Quite possible the best food we've had at a restaurant. The lobster rolls were very good. The ice-cream is the best ice-cream I've had in years. The blueberry ice-cream was amazing. The vanilla ice-cream reminded me of ice-cream found in creamers in rural Pennsylvania. (My high bar for all ice-cream). The restaurant staff are nothing short of awesome to work with. We wanted an outdoor seating and they were very accommodating. When visiting Schoodic point, this is a must to have a lobster roll and ice-cream. Blueberry pie is also available, but I'm a huge fan of their ice-cream. Did I mention their ice-cream and how good it is? This location is only 0.7 miles from the ferry. The clamp chowder is really good too. Bowl licking good. Like "leave no morsel behind " good. The history of this place is interesting."
"Good food and service! Prices 🏷️ were reasonable as well. Would definitely come back in the future for a meal!"
"This place was outstanding in every way possible . It’s a restaurant, bakery and ice cream parlor all rolled into one , with both indoor and outdoor seating. We went for breakfast and my wife had the ham and cheese omelette, she said it was the best she’s ever had . I had a breakfast sandwich on a fresh roll with bacon and cheese it was fantastic. The coffee was hot and fresh and really good . We purchased a few slices of blueberry pie to go . We highly recommend this place ."
"This place was recommended to us by family who vacations in the area every year. We tried the Down East Lunch and it was absolutely delicious! We have been raving about it for the rest of our trip! The naked lobster roll was one of the best we have ever tasted. We highly recommend J.M. Gerrish Cafe!"
"J.M. Gerrish was a great lunch experience after a fun-filled day at Schoodic Point. We walked in about 25 minutes before they closed, and asked if it was too late to be served. They said it was no problem and to have a seat. We sat outside on the lovely front porch. The service was prompt and genuinely friendly. The lobster rolls were the freshest and most delicious we had in Maine. The waitress told us the lobster comes the co-op right down the street. We also highly recommend the blueberry pie. Following lunch, we walked across the street to the Winter Harbor 5 & 10 to buy souvenir t-shirts and other items we needed for the rest of our trip. So glad we stopped in Winter Harbor!"
"Delicious Down East Lunch--cup of clam chowder, small lobster roll, & blueberry pie! Yum! Clara provided great service on the lovely patio."
