"Stopped in for the first time today and we'll definitely be back. My wife had the Hot Cappy with tomato bisque and I had the Midland St Banh Mi with the corn chowder soup. Don't let the pictures fool you, the sandwich portions were excellent and the soup was definitely a bowl full. The ingredients were fresh, tasty, and cooked/warmed to perfection. The bread was warm, chewy and, if not made in house, I would suspect it comes from a local source. Whoever chooses their ingredients takes the time to make sure all are top quality in flavor and freshness. We didn't realize it when we ordered but the sandwiches come with a bag of chips. Our host made a point to come over to the table and let us know and show us where the selection of chips was. We didnt try their muffins but they looked delicious and will be in our order on our next visit. Looking at the previous reviews, I want sure if there was much on-site seating. I was very happy to find a number of booths and several tables in two separate areas of the restaurant. We sat in the front section where there was a nice view of Midland St and many of the other businesses along it. There is also an indoor seating area between Pfunds and a sushi restaurant next to it. Apparently the sushi restaurant and Pfunds are owned by the same person and connected by this additional, very cozy, seating area. Give them a try, support a local businesses. If you like a good sandwich and soup with some really good looking sweets, I dont think you'll be disappointed."

"This place is a GEM! The restaurant itself is gorgeously decorated and the sandwiches are top notch. Seriously the best sandwich I've ever had. My husband had the Hot Cappy and I had the Chapterhouse Bagel Sandwich. The quality of the meat and bread were superb! And the rice crispy treats they sell were so good too!"

"Stopped in earlier today for lunch with my family and we were very impressed. The service was great and the sandwiches were even better. My wife had the Hot Cappy and I tried the Hot Pastrami, the special on the menu. It’s been a long time since we’ve had deli sandwiches this good! The portion sizes were great and the ingredients were very fresh and perfectly balanced. We will definitely be back and look forward to trying the soups. Tomato bisque is always on the menu and they have others rotating in and out, all of which are made in house. I really hope this place catches on sticks around!"

"We’re big fans of the sushi next door, so we had to try the lunch hot spot. Food was excellent! You can taste the freshness in the ingredients used. We shared the steak wrap and beef noodle soup. It was SO FLAVORFUL! We’ll for sure be back. Kudos to the owner bringing not one, but two superb eateries to Bay City!"
