from Google & Yelp"I have known JP since Huddle days when he would have ube ice cream and my friend and I would go every year! We were ecstatic when we found out he was opening a bakery and we quickly became regulars. Every Wednesday we would go and catch up, it was an amazing and fun routine we had. JP was such a huge part of my life that I asked him to cater my wedding. My husband is Filipino as well as a lot of my friends, it was really special to have his culture be represented in a bakery that I have known for a long time. JP was amazing with helping us what to order and added no extra stress for a typically stressful time. Everything I have ever ate there has been amazing and the best that there is. We are so thankful for JP Makes and Bakes!!"
"Update: returned for the ube treats and the cheesecake is life-changing. So delicious, such a pleasant texture/mouth feel. The brownie again amazing. I tried the melon/Ube soft serve as well as the one from last time (Lychee/ube) and I don’t think I’m a fan of them. Made a special trip here with my friend after she saw a social ad for lunch bowls. The cafe is small and clean with very limited seating. They have a good selection of baked goods and small merchandise section. I bought the cutest tShirt. The staff was welcoming/friendly - offered a recommendation and let me sample the soft serve. For lunch we both ordered the savory special (ukoy) with their mangomansi drinks. The special was a generous serving of shrimp + veggies, perfect fritter like texture, seasoned well and served with a vinegary sauce plus white rice. For something sweet I tried the ube lychee twist soft serve (good, lightly floral and sweet), ube brownie (great flavor, moist cakey texture, not too sweet) and suman malagkit (glutenous textured dessert with light coconut and brown sugar flavor). I love that the specials are authentic Filipino cooking and excited to return for more."
"Loved the peach cake!!! It was perfect!! The apple donut was also AMAZING (can’t remember the name of that one), it had a filling. My boyfriend loved it."
"My daughter and I visited this beautiful bakery and we were excited based on the reviews and the Instagram photos everything looks so delicious. We walked through the door and immediately smelled of urine inside the bakery. There was an elder lady sitting in her medical chair talking to herself however, she wasn’t bothering anyone but she reeked of urine. The lady at the counter was pretty blah and the energy just wasn’t that great however, she was rude. We purchased 4 donuts (2) sugar twist , (2) chocolate twist, and a dozen chocolate chip cookies. The donuts were not fresh. They did not melt in my mouth however, they weren’t terrible that’s why we are giving it ⭐️ ⭐️ The cookies were not great they were very salty we couldn’t even enjoy them. Also, there was just a small selection of pastries and if there were more in the back or refrigerator that was not seen to customers the counter lady did try to bring them to our attention. We visited the bakery around 12:50. Overall, I probably won’t revisit this bakery again as we wasn’t able to eat anything we purchased."
"Ube roll and ube kouign amann were stellar. Some of my favorite pastries I’ve had in recent memory. The pan de sal were solid as well. Can’t wait to come back to try more!"
"I finally got the chance to visit JP Makes & Bakes storefront! I've had some of these baked goodies at events, or when other folks bring it to events. BUT!..."
