What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"My Favorite Red Hook; gorgeous old building with inviting interior and decor- but you continue to return for the caffeine made in any style or size the body desires! The baked goods and sandwiches are delicious as well! Streetside parking usually available across the street in West Village- one of detroit's best & safest neighborhoods ☕️ . I love the Cafe Miel n idunno if they still have the weird charcoal Latte! One of the only places i ever seen it at.."
"Great neighborhood coffee shop. Decent selection of beverages and small food menu - but has all you need including breakfast sandwiches. Service is always friendly and efficient. Cute and comfortable atmosphere but relatively small."
". The Red Hook Detroit (Indian Village) Stepping into The Red Hook in Indian Village, I was immediately struck by how quiet it was – almost eerily so. It definitely threw me off, as I was expecting a bit more of a bustling coffee shop vibe. Beyond the subdued atmosphere, what really stood out was the price: $4.50 plus tip for a small black coffee felt quite steep. It was one of those "oh, okay... wow" moments that makes you double-take. While the space might appeal to those looking for a very calm spot, the value for money, especially on a basic coffee, felt a little off. If you're after absolute tranquility and don't mind a premium price tag for your daily brew, this might be your spot. Otherwise, be prepared for a very quiet experience and a slightly lighter wallet."
"This is a nice study space for students or anyone needing a small, quiet space to get work done during the work day. The drink menu sounded promising but the execution and outcome did not taste too great. Ordered an iced latte and cortado. $1 charge for oat milk/almond milk feels like a lot especially when the brands of alternative milk used within the cafe don't have a great taste."
"Super cute little coffee shop just outside of the busy city. My macchiato was delicious! Not many personalized flavor options tho. So I got my hubs just a plan joe with sugar & creamer. He would have enjoyed the same from Mcds without a premium coffeehouse upcharge. The treats looked tasty but I did not indulge."
"Cute coffee/baked goods shop in Indian Village neighborhood! This place checks all the boxes for me. Single origin beans pour overs and delightful baked..."
