from Google"WOW this place was amazing. Delicious food - one of the best sandwiches i had ever had in my life, they really nailed the chicken here, delicious and tender, and great apple slaw. Biscuits and gravy were amazing too, so much flavor in the gravy they do. Tasty cortado with a perfect balance in flavor and they even nailed the art on top! Plus everyone was so nice and i live the community-centric vibe with pay it forward options, canned food collection etc. what an amazing place, both with what it offers for the local community but also just because its delicious. Really cool cookbooks and artisanal goods in the little market too. If i lived here i would eat at this place five days a week. Shout out to the dude working the counter too, super friendly and welcoming guy who was on top of everything. So happy we came here."
"Visiting from NC for Christmas and was looking for vegan options, Fika popped up in my search and gave it a try. Oh man!!!! The food, the drinks, the soup EVERY single thing we tried was AMAZING. We had 1. French toast 2. Red curry soup 3. Grilled cheese 4. Chilli tator 5. Broccoli cheddar soup 6. Waffle 7. Latte I just wanted to try everything as you can see, this was only for two people, can you imagine. Everything was delicious and it’s such a cute place. Definitely recommend to all."
"I’ve been eager to try Fika, so when my parents came to town I knew it would be the perfect spot for brunch, especially with my mom’s gluten allergy and dairy allergy. The food was terrific! The staff is lovely and friendly! The artwork is wonderful! I got the biscuits and gravy, my dad got the breakfast sando, and my mom got the Banana Nut French Toast. I really loved the biscuits and gravy! Everyone loves their meals and I’m so thankful for their sensitivity to my mom’s allergies. I will certainly be back soon!"
"Great vibe, friendly service, a cute little grocery section, and (more importantly) SUPER tasty food! The Kale Caesar Salad had all the right textures and great flavor! I recommend adding avocado and fried tofu. The maple aioli was reminiscent of a sweet honey mustard. The liquid cheese sauce was definitely the best vegan one I have had - but the search is still on for the perfect vegan cheese sauce My wife loved the flavor of the chickpea sausage! Personally, it wasn’t for me because I don’t care for fennel and prefer a firmer texture with sausage. Bring Fika to Kalamazoo!!"
"I want to preface my review by saying that I do not have any strict dietary restrictions. I do eat meat, I’m simply trying to eat less of it for moral and environmental reasons. So that’s the perspective my review is coming from. My family came out for brunch today. We tried a little bit of everything. I can only personally attest to the tofu-based chick’n and waffles and the buffalo tots. The chick’n was very solid. The tofu didn’t exactly give chick’n texture but it was still a good texture. The crunchy outer layer had a great blend of herbs and spices that I think stack up to a good fried chicken joint. The GF waffles weren’t my favorite, but I also didn’t hate them. They were acceptable on their own, and a good companion to the chicken. The buffalo tots were amazing. I wouldn’t do anything differently with them. The staff was warm and friendly. The atmosphere was warm, vibrant, and modern. Street parking might be a bit of a chore depending on the day, but if you’re new to the Creston neighborhood, there is a free city lot just down the street. Enjoyed our time at FIKA and we will be back!"
