"Good preparation, but bad beans. The cortado had well frothed milk and the espresso tasted properly extracted, but it tasted like they’re starting with slightly more than medium-roasted beans, which are basically slightly burnt. For the Starbucks crowd, this would actually be good, because Starbucks beans are basically charcoal. So if you drink desserts (add flavorings) or like the darker roasted, burnt flavor of carbon ash, this would work for you. But for coffee connoisseurs with refined palettes, there are a few other places in Holland to go to."
