"Alright. So. The tea tasted bad period and it costs triple what is listed online. But that’s not what is most concerning to me. My partner and I had never heard of Kava before and we thought this was just a normal tea shop. The “effects” of each drink NEED to be listed. My partner is feeling sick because of it. I did more research and Kava can cause lots of side effects apart from the muscle relaxation and calmness or the euphoric feeling of other types. It can cause nausea and liver damage among many other things. It can impair your ability to safely drive. In lots of places it is a regulated substance and information about it should be disclosed regardless of the fact that it is legal and unregulated in North America. It is noted on their website but people who walk in or just see that this place is a “tea house” need to know what they are consuming. Additionally, for anyone who finds the owner as strange as we did, it’s just because he was super high on kava."

"This place is beautiful and inviting. The vibe is super relaxed and the owner Doug is very knowledgeable. The tea and non alcoholic can selection is good and the kava is smooth. If you're looking for a relaxing place to have conversation or work, this is a good place for that."

"Obsessed 😍 Various hot teas from around the world, which come as 3 servings/steepings. They also have chilled "chill out" sparkling blends (kava, cbd, etc. ). The tea-tender (is that how you say it?) was incredibly knowledgeable about the botanical properties, steeping process and enjoyed explaining the menu. Tried 3 different ones, such a great selection. The setting is comfortable, clean and ambient. So glad to find a café setting that offers a variety of health tonics - including kombucha on tap!"
