"I got the samosa, and a cheese sandwich. Both were very nice!! Beautiful, comfortable, and quiet atmosphere. Everyone deep into their work feels like a coffee shop from 2002❤️🥹 very handsome and friendly staff is helpful too. Stayed to read for a couple hours. Definitely will be back! Such a great find!"

"I watched Mezaj Coffee as it was being built, driving past on Livernois regularly, but it wasn’t until today that I finally visited. Why did I wait so long?!? This place is marvelous. Having only seen the Livernois side, I’d expected a tiny cafe, but the whole front of the building in which Mezaj is situated is theirs. At first, I expected the size of the space to make it echo-y, noisy in a unpleasant way. It wasn’t at all. Just conversations going on all around the cleverly designed and subtly colorful space. The espresso machines are also not right out in the ordering area, so that noise isn’t as apparent, either. My friend and I were there for two and half hours, and though it got busy, we never had trouble hearing each other. Now, as to the coffee and treats, I couldn’t resist trying the Interstellar Latte since I have a weakness for ube. The purple was so gorgeous and the flavor not overpowering. You have to like sweet to give it full marks, and today, it did hit the spot. I look forward to trying something less sweet next time. I also tried the halwa and can recommend this nutty treat. There were so many baked goods to choose from that I will be making special trips to try more. Please, come enjoy Mezaj. You will not regret it!"

"The friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered! Also such a wonderful variety of drinks and baked goods (even some gluten free options) we ordered the interstellar, the dulce de leche latte and a Moroccan mint tea and they were all wonderful) can’t wait to stop by next time I’m in town! Again, the most kind employees ever- felt so welcome!"

"I'm guessing the majority of the surrounding neighborhood have been anticipating the opening of Mezaj and it finally is. Obviously with the new construction everything is pristine and modern, the design team did a great job. Cozy with tables or booths. The display of pastries ( cheese cake, baklava, ect.) is mouthwatering. Decisions, decisions. I can attest the ones I've tried were delicious. The menu is plentiful although the lack of listed prices is bothersome. The staff seems abit lost at times but with it being new I expect some growing pains. All in all I feel it's a great addition to the neighborhood. Aside from the staff issue I mentioned (which I expect will improve once they settle in) my only other issue I'd mention is perhaps the prices. A tad steep, about $8 for a slice of cheesecake, that's what I just paid at a restaurant in downtown Rochester. Is that a deal breaker? No, just don't expect to only spend a couple bucks."

"Perhaps one of my favorite coffee shops to work on my laptop from in all of Oakland County (Perhaps all of Michigan tbh). Everything from the food to the atmosphere and service is A-1 steak sauce. Their coffee / expresso is more robust and seems to still shine through all of the other flavors you’ll find in a latte. I thinks that’s special and not something that’s always easily done… these guys seem to have their culinary (recipes) dialed in. Not to mention, whenever I want to work late, I can go get a few additional hours in, after other coffee shops close (which sometimes I tend too do). Solid establishment (feels welcoming and comfortable ) , great food , and the staff always seems to be in relax , friendly moods."
