What People Are Saying
from Google"We had lunch at Rock on 3rd and honestly weren’t sure what to expect just based on the outside—but I really wanted those steak bites, so in we went. The waitress was very friendly without being *overly* friendly—if you know, you know. The steak bites were **wonderful**. I love spicy food, and for the life of me I can’t remember the name of the sauce they came with, but wow… absolutely incredible if you like heat. My wife, on the other hand, said it “melted her face off.” The garlic bread that came with them was good, and my steak was ordered medium rare and cooked perfectly. My wife got the grilled chicken sandwich, and we both agreed it was amazing as well. There were so many other things on the menu we want to try, so we’ll definitely be going back!"
"Good place for a quick bite & drinks prior to heading to the comedy club. The food & drinks were good- the service was good for the most part. We paid full price for 7 drinks but when we realized there was a happy hour menu & wanted to try a drink off of it- our waitress mentioned it was 6:00 & too late. We said it’s 5:55. She replied we go by bar time. What? She ended up putting it in but we found it odd after spending $150 in food & drinks up to that point she’d give us grief about getting $4 off a happy hour drink we wanted to try. We’d go back but for sure ask about specials prior to ordering as they weren’t mentioned."
"Rock on Third has some delicious food and atmosphere! Thank you to John and Carrie for taking care of us! We had a Lava Burger, Chicken Parm and homemade chili that were all delicious! We are sure to come back here and have more great great food and conversation with them!"
"Wonderful experience, awesome staff, and highest quality food, prepared with excellence. I joined the Thursday's early lunch Coney group back in June, where a group of about six come together and enjoy Coneys, topped with the only one-of-a-kind Detroit-style unique Red Hot's chilli sauce, along with mustard and onions. There are also Coney Fries (French-fried potatoes topped with Red Hots Chili). If you haven't tried these yet, you owe it to yourself to do so. There is nothing that compares to Red Hots, and The Rock On 3d is the unique place in Metro Detroit that serves this with pride!"
"The place was fine, but the parking sucks. I parked a couple blocks away, paid the meter and stayed a little longer than planned. Boom $20 parking ticket for a space that was only a couple dollars an hour. I'm so done with Royal Oak. There's tons of other cool downtowns that I can go to."
