"Husband recently came in for a small turkey and a prime rib roast in preparation for Christmas. They said they had both and then cut, trimmed, and packaged a significantly more expensive whole beef tenderloin. I was shocked when he told me later how much he paid and then realized he absolutely got conned into purchasing a cut of beef with a much higher price per pound. They are not upfront about pricing (he saw no prices marked/listed before ordering due to it not being on display), and he was not told the beef would be roughly $50/lb until he was rung up and then felt too overwhelmed on a busy day to tell them to put it back. Regardless, he had went in expecting to pay a certain amount and paid probably nearly double due to them giving him the wrong cut. Also good to mention that prime rib and tenderloin have different flavor profiles and uses. The meat was good of course (only reason they got higher than one star), but they should be more upfront about pricing especially when it comes to expensive cuts, and maybe more careful in the future when taking orders, so the customer gets what they expected. We were able to make it work, but were really looking forward to a prime rib dinner so it wasn’t ideal and we would’ve been more satisfied with the cheaper cut that was ordered."

"We stopped in while we were visiting to see if they had any fresh baked bread. We found some wonderful sourdough bread. Great crust and perfectly chewy. In addition, we bought the blueberry sausage just because we loved them so much. Haven't tried them yet. At the last minute we got the smoked salmon and capers. Just tried it and it is delicious!! Wish I would have bought more. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Great store. Prices on meat looked reasonable for the quality. Wish we had this store in Texas."
