"Their new years event was horribly mismanaged on top of their typical issues of closing early or opening late, not to mention their faulty doors that look like they’ve been crowbarred open multiple times. But the new years 25-26 even takes the cake for mismanagement and complete lack of care or interest for their customers. They announced on all social media platforms the paid event would begin at 8pm then changed it last minute. A half hour before opening, 100+ excited customers lined up in the sub-freezing weather to get a good spot. 9pm came and went. No signs. No staff. Not even a note. Finally, someone notified the huge line that an alternate entrance was being used that has no signage. Everyone rushed to get in, dangerously cold to be met with almost zero seating as preferred VIP’s had not only been let in ahead of time but also given the only sparse seating available. This not only looks bad in north bar, but the downtown traverse city business space as a whole. If I were the owner I would be livid to know how mismanaged my establishment is on a daily basis, not to mention this high profile event."

"As a Traverse City local and a regular at North Bar, I can't recommend this spot enough! The rotating seasonal cocktails are always a highlight, keeping things fresh and exciting with every visit. The staff here is simply amazing—friendly, knowledgeable, and always making you feel welcome. Whether I'm popping in for a casual drink or meeting up with friends, the atmosphere is always spot-on, offering just the right vibe for any occasion. North Bar has become my go-to, and I’m always looking forward to the next visit. If you're in TC, you absolutely need to check it out!"

"I don’t normally go down town. Went with a group of friends to listen to our niece sing. Excellent food, drinks & service. I got the beet salad and it was delicious. Ohhh and the deviled eggs, they were so good!!! We ordered 3 orders and ate them all (hence no pics)! Had a great time!"

"Very cool place for a drink and some food. The drink prices are reasonable, especially some of the bourbons. We just had appetizers, but they were good. Especially the brussel sprouts! Can't wait for the warmer weather so the windows will be open"

"I’ve been here in both the afternoon and evening! I’ve tried most of the dishes on the menu plus their extended menu on the specials board and all have been fantastic. One of my favorites is the Animal fries that is a play on a traditional poutine. If you go in the afternoon, you can expect chill vibes and usually a game or two on the screens. Not too loud so you can hear your friends and hold conversation all the while getting some natural sunlight if the sun is present. They have 3 different rooms that all have unique ambiance’s in their own respective needs! Sometimes you can even catch live music during the day! The service is exceptional! Not too attentive to keep the relaxed vacay vibes, but also meaningful attentiveness. The nightlife is a blast. Usually a fun, but classy crowd with elevated up-lighting, live entertainment, and energetic bar staff. Usually a mingling, but also bring your friends and meet up kind of scene! Would 100% recommend as an all around dining, social, and fun experience!"
