"We were recommend this place by a gal who lives in Traverse City that we met earlier in the day. She said it is a place that the locals frequent and that we should order the gyro and wings. We were able to get two seats at the bar on a busy Friday night. The bartenders were fantastic...so friendly, fast, and attentive to all at the bar that it was impressive. We had a couple of drinks and the gyro and wings. Both were really good. The gyro was full of meat and the pita fluffy. The wings were perfectly juicy and the sauce was tasty. I only wish they had an option to order a smaller amount. 8 is a lot for us at a sitting, but because they were so good, we took them to the hotel and ate them the next day. The energy of the place is great. Highly recommend."

"This is a classic locals place, my favorite type of place in which to hang out. The nachos were better than I expected with a good amount of meat and cheese. Staff were nice. The Greek options are a welcome surprise, not what you would expect. They do charge a 3% credit card fee."

"I was looking for late night food and it was recommended that I try U and I. I called in my order to go and arrived to pick it up about 20 minutes later. Since I took my food to go, I can’t comment on the atmosphere much other than it seemed like a typical bar. I will say the staff was polite and good to deal with. My food was excellent! The wings had just the right amount of heat to be enjoyable but not to the point where they burn your mouth. The crispiness was done to just the right amount. The gyro was one of the best I’ve ever had! I like how generous they were with ketchup packets for my fries. In summary, if you’re looking for late night food in the Traverse City area, U and I is a great option! Their kitchen is open until 12:30 AM currently."

"We stopped in based on a recommendation from another downtown establishment and were definitely happy with our choice! The service was great and the gyro was amazing! Great pita, which is so important, stuffed with tasty, quality ingredients! We sat at the bar and enjoyed the atmosphere while drinking our beers and enjoying the heck out of our meals. We then wandered over to the dart boards and played a few games. We were visiting Traverse City on our honeymoon and this was definitely a highlight meal/experience of our time there. It is ALWAYS true that if you want the best spots, ask a local. We highly recommend stopping in!"
