"My favorite coffee spot in Ypsi! Spacious with different size tables, a bar, games (one you can’t find other places and I love it!:), and serve-yourself water available. The company is supportive of the LGBTQ+ community and has a welcoming vibe in general. The seasonal drink specials are always interesting and delicious! I try something different each time and haven’t been disappointed! They always go the extra mile with the presentation, too! It’s been a great place to catch up with friends for me:) Highly recommend!"

"A great local Ypsi coffee shop. I love their Elder Millenial toast for breakfast. Also, they use quality ingredients in both their drinks and food offerings. Their chai for the chai latte is brewed in house and you can definitely tell it in the flavor that it’s full leaf tea. They also offer great seasonal selections that are fun to explore and always tasty without being overly sweet. I enjoy getting their flight when I want to try a few things on the menu. The cafe is spacious and clean so it’s a great place to meet up with someone. While it can be cold in there, they have blankets available to keep you warm. They also have a nice outdoor seating area with large picnic tables, which has been very nice to use after a run with a group of friends. If you are a local or just visiting, this is a place to check out!"

"This is by far my favorite coffee shop in the Ann Arbor / Ypsi area. I absolutely love their specialty drinks—they have such incredible flavors and are so creative. It is the perfect place to hang out or work at, the environment is warm, beautifully lit, and very spacious."

"I absolutely love that this place was reopened and is still being used as a coffee shop, the all gluten free menu makes my heart sing, drinks are delicious and there’s so.much.seating. My only critique would be that the atmosphere is flat and very un-cozy at times… I’d love some cozy nooks, softer seating, art, true coffee house vibes. I notice I stop for lunch but do not really enjoy the vibes enough to stick around. Sometimes the employee energy feels tense which adds to the discomfort. The front picnic area is lovely."

"We (my partner and I) are so happy that Vertex has expanded to Ypsi! The new location is much larger and offers a selection of toasts and sandwiches in addition to the always incredible coffee drinks that we know and love. The sandwiches are really good, as are the side salads. Every ingredient is fresh and of high quality. The coffee is seriously amazing. After multiple trips to NYC and Chicago in which I tried some of the most renowned specialty coffee shops, none have managed to be as consistent and delicious as Vertex. I'm looking forward to the opening of their garden space, and will certainly be back many, many times. I'd give more than 5 stars for every category if I could."
