"Bought an espresso blend from Kowlaski's in Woodbury, MN after intentionally seeking out a unique espresso bean to try. I LOVE how this roast turned out!!! I'm new to the whole espresso tasting world, but I really love how rich, dark, and chocolate-y it tastes. It took a few grind sizes to find a good taste I prefer (plus, knowing I bought the bag of beans a few weeks old means they will be a little denser to grind as they oxidize). I am thrilled with the creme and just all around had to give a shout out because this blend MUST be praised! Thank you! I also picked this bag because the branding was simple, down to earth, had a fun owl on the front, and legitimately felt homemade. Thank you for also making it easy to spot the roast date with the stamp on the front! I do not normally shop at Kowlaski's, but I have found they have a good selection of coffee from local roasters if my local coffee shop happens to be closed when in need a restock. Glad I went in for a trip!"

"Found Carlson online while searching for a Minnesota roaster to support local. Just got our first bag of gunflint trail beans in the mail. Roast date was the same day we placed our order which was nice to see. Holy cow folks this might be some of the best coffee I’ve made at home. Aroma is outstanding. Once brewed the coffees flavor is really nice. Personally I find it to be fruity, bold, and low bitter. Seriously good stuff."
