What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Tapestry is pretty nice! My 3 stars might seem kind of harsh-- but its nothing negative! I'm just picky with cafes. They had a special berry tea that I tried, but I wasn't a big fan of it. Same thing with their sweet/savory toast. I think the goat cheese with the jam toast is just an acquired taste so I give warning with that one. I also got a plain iced mocha to try and give it another shot, but I'm also not a big fan of their espresso. Doesn't taste as bold or bitter as I'm used to. Took more of the light and sour route. The menu is a tad barren but they do have a smaller menu with some extra items by the register! Felt kind of disappointing for me as I drove 40 minutes out to check out this smaller cafe, but the service made up for it!! The staff here was so kind and friendly. Might be the cafe for you so still please visit and check them out!!!"
"Tapestry Coffee has a cool concept, especially the back area that used to be part of an old bank, but the experience can be hit or miss. It’s always packed, sometimes so full that it’s hard to find a seat. The coffee is fine, nothing special, although they do offer some unique drinks. The staff can be friendly at times, but it feels inconsistent from visit to visit. The space also isn’t always very clean, which takes away from the vibe. Overall, it’s an okay spot if you’re nearby, but not one I’d go out of my way for."
"January 2025: visited this gem of a coffee shop twice while in town. Cappuccino and a cortado, and a decaf cap over the course of the two visits. The foam on the cap was perfection. Excellent gluten-free options as well; donuts, muffins, and a bagel sandwich, high quality on the gluten-free options."
"A friend and I came for coffee and a bite on a Sunday morning. The downtown is a nice quaint area with good street parking. We enjoyed the ample seating and good window views of the downtown plus the historic bank vault inside by the bar area is cool to see. The staff were friendly and my latte was excellent. I had the cinnamon sugar toast which is good but somewhat plain and you only get a single slice. I don't think it is the best value and needs a little more to it besides sourdough, sugar, and cinnamon."
"I was delighted to step into Tapestry Coffee and find that this coffee roaster company offers a nice variety of blends and single origin coffees. I’m not one for coffee subscriptions – but it is a nice option. Its Google Business Listing says it offers a menu of sandwiches & salads – but I didn’t see any on the menu. It’s basically a breakfast place that offers muffins, toast options, croissants and bagels. They have good oatmeal options. Breakfast is served all day, meaning up until they close at 2 PM. Out of Savory Toast, Cinnamon Sugar Toast, and Avocado Toast, the avocado variety is my favorite. It comes with a nice helping of pickled onions and their own chimichurri sauce. The flavors complement each other well. When it comes to bagel breakfast sandwiches, I like that you can build your own. For example, you can go with egg or no egg. My latte was excellent. It's atmosphere is inviting and ideal for sharing breakfast and a conversation with others. The rich, black countertop in the bar-like area is very nice. You can also buy your coffee beans here to go home and brew your own. I like the wall tapestry (painting of "Ocean Waves"), which can be ordered in various sizes. It ties in the brand name. This coffee shop is located at 20788 Holyoke Ave, Lakeville, MN 55044 right on the corner. It’s a handy stopping point for me on the route to several of my favorite places. Parking is ample right alongside the outdoor patio in the back."
