"I’ve been hearing great things about Isles for years. I stopped by and tried their cinnamon bun and the puppy dog tail. The cinnamon bun was incredible! It had the perfect amount of each ingredient, it didn’t taste overly sweet and the dough had a nice tangy flavor. I didn’t think the puppy dog tail was nearly as good so i think i would skip that next time. I enjoyed the americano too, it was a good price. I appreciated how all of the workers were very friendly."

"I was really excited to try Isles Bakery because I had heard so many great things, especially that they have the best cinnamon rolls in town. My oven was broken over Christmas, and I usually make homemade cinnamon rolls, so I wanted something special for Christmas morning. When we arrived, there was a short line (about 5–6 people), which made me optimistic. I purchased three cinnamon rolls, three caramel rolls, and three pecan caramel rolls, along with a box of dog tails, a cup of coffee, and a hot apple cider. The total came to $67. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The dog tails were the best item we tried, but the rolls themselves were not good. While they were very large and looked beautiful, they were dry, bland, and lacked texture. The frosting was overly sweet and didn’t have a cream-cheese flavor at all—it just tasted like sugar. Even after reheating them the next day and adding butter, the rolls were still dry and honestly disgusting. We ended up throwing away four of the six rolls we opened. For the price, it felt like a complete waste, and I truly wish I could get my money back. Everyone should try things for themselves, but based on my experience, these are not the best cinnamon rolls in town."

"Got here alittle early because of the hype. Right when they open there was already a line. They were really nice and if you're a first timer they gave us a free puppy bun or whatever its called which is a cinnamon roll but a stick version. The cinnamon rolls were to go so didn't get the whole experience but even taken home they were amazing. Very fluffy and dense but soft. A good sweet and not overly sweet. You can also add more frosting if u want to."

"Drove from Wisconsin to try these, and wish I could give this place 10 stars! We waited about 5 minutes in line outside, which wasn't bad, just be sure to dress warm. You can smell the cinnamon rolls while you wait, which piques the appetite. When we got up to the counter the employees were extremely friendly and helpful. Even though it's so busy, they remain calm and patient to provide the best service. We mentioned it was our first time and threw in an extra dog tail and frosting! We tried the Original Cinnamon Bun, the Caramel Sticky Bun, the dog tails, along with the warm Apple Cider to drink. Regular cinnamon bun was both of our favorites! Sticky bun is good too, but if you have to choose and it's your first time, I'd suggest the original. It's absolutely stellar. The warm apple cider was the perfect beverage to warm us up from the chilly wait outdoors. Not *too* sweet, just delicious seasoned apple flavor. There is plenty of seating inside, and they have tables outside for the seasons of warmer weather. We felt the price was a great value for how filling everything is! Between two of us on empty stomachs, we weren't able to finish, and boxed up half the sticky bun + 1.5 dog tails for later. All in all, phenomenal service and food. If you're around the Minneapolis area, it's absolutely worth the drive!! There's a reason people line up for these buns!"

"First time in (finally) to check out the hype. Like many, I saw the “world’s best” rank and was intrigued. We picked a perfect time on a late Thursday morning as we had no wait. The building is charming with a solid atmosphere and decent amount of room. The staff had plenty of friendly people and they were very efficient. All of that said, the cinnamon rolls were definitely the star of the show! I like a good cinnamon roll, but the texture, the frosting and the presentation was perfect. I’ve had some good cinnamon rolls, but these were outstanding and probably the best I’ve ever had. If you’re curious but skeptical like I was, i highly recommend stopping in to put them to the test. It meets the hype!"
