from Google & Yelp"This cafe is a breath of fresh air in the breakfast scene, especially in Minneapolis. I opted for garam masala tofu scramble, which elevated tofu to the next level-bold, perfectly spicy, and memorable. Friendly servers and a cool vibe, this place is a must go for an amazing breakfast experience in uptown Minneapolis."
"Disappointing last order. First time trying the tikka chicken sandwich. Looks nothing like the picture they took themselves (I’d removed onions on my order). Where’s the avocado shown in the picture? If it doesn’t come with it by default why is it in the picture? That’s a bit misleading. Not saucy at all like the picture. The middle of the sandwich doesn’t have much sauce due to this. Idk it’s fine. I like most of the food I’ve tried here. The shakshuka shrunk last time I ordered it and went up in price. I get inflation is inevitable but reducing the amount of food when shakshuka is already made of relatively cheap ingredients is disappointing. I want to support this restaurant more but this kinda stuff discourages me. Side of potatoes had no flavor. I wish I knew they came with sour cream when I ordered them as I’m not a fan. I wiped it off and added my own salt and pepper. I thought they were going to be some kind of breakfast style or rustic potato. These were maybe just boiled in very lightly salted water I’m guessing. $2. Cheap enough I can’t complain. Grateful to have food to eat. I don’t want to discourage people from eating here. The shakshuka used to be a regular order for me when I lived around the corner and it just doesn’t feel worth it anymore :/ It can be a little noisy inside if you’re sensitive to that. Also tried the Down To Earth 12oz hot drink. Listed $6 on website, was charged $6.50 in person. Nbd, but inconsistent nonetheless. Tasted as described, I liked it and would order again, probably the 16oz next time. I spent about $22.50 this visit after a small tip. The staff have always been kind. I hope they stay safe. The back entrance is now locked with a sign so you’ll need to enter through the front."
"It was a nice experience coming in on a Friday morning. Not too busy, the service was great and friendly, and the food came out fresh and hot! I got the shakshuka and it was decent as you can see👌🏾 People tend to work on their laptops in here, and the drinks are nice. Definitely coming back!"
"We stopped by Lake & Bryant for brunch and were pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken tikka sandwich, and it was fantasti. The bread was perfectly warm and toasted, and the shredded chicken tikka was super flavorful. Simple, but it packed a punch. We also tried the extra spicy noodle bowl. Heads up...it lives up to the name. It started off great, and the cold egg on top was a nice touch that helped balance the spice. But toward the end, the flavor fell off a bit and it ended up tasting more bland than bold. Not bad, just not as memorable. That said, the overall vibe was hustle and bustle, energetic but not overwhelming. Definitely worth checking out for a casual brunch with some unique flavor twists."
"great coffee, the little sugary bits in the waffles make the sandwich perfect. super cute atmosphere with a nice street view next to one of the big windows"
"Went back today to keep supporting our businesses on lake street. Had the avocado toast and was very tasty. Lots of guac, eggs, tomatoes, and a little..."
