I inquired on line at Mill City Roasters on Friday, January, 24, 2026 regarding a part for a roaster. I received a follow up call on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Tragically, this the weekend that Alex Pretti was killed. I do not recall this young man's name but could tell he was struggling with the violence and Alex Pretti's death. He simply offered, "Keep having a voice". To the people and businesses of Minneapolis and the state of Minnesota my families prayers and 'voice' of support to each of you during this time. "I was blown away honestly from my time spent here. Our instructors for the Roasting class, Lauren & Bryant, have such a wealth of knowledge, experience and are super passionate about what they do. Even Steve & Angie personally took time out of their days, to have in depth conversations, Q&A's, and spend quality time with the class. "I have had a Mill City Roasters 2K for three years. It has been an absolute joy to use. I am a home roaster and it supplies me and my friends and family with great coffee. I have probably roasted 400 lbs of coffee and have grown to really appreciate this machine. I started on a toaster-oven type of roaster and upgraded to this 2K. What is cool about the Mill City machine is that a novice can get started and make good coffee…but as you get better, the machine has the flexibility to grow with you. It has a variable speed drum, variable speed fan, and enough power to really blast through a roast if that is what you want to do. The build quality is amazing!
