What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"This cafe has amazing service, a well-decorated and relaxing interior, and delightful drinks. I tried the Somali Chai, a beef sambusa, and mush-mush. All three items were delicious and full of flavor. It was my first time trying mush-mush and I will definitely order it again sometime. Parking can be a bit difficult right next to the cafe itself, but there’s plenty of parking a block or so away. Overall, this is the perfect place to come and read, meet with a friend, or just relax with a delicious drink."
"It’s Saturday morning in a big city so a coffee shop should be busy and this one is. But this is Muhim’s in Minneapolis on 1/17/26 so the buzz is different. The owner is behind the counter making coffee drinks and being a neighbor to all because “we’re all neighbors.” I love it and will be back. Five minutes from MIA museum and a parking lot right outside. Happy place in a troubling time. Need more of these."
"Shai is amazing, sweets are delicious, and super friendly service. First time visiting, and won't be out last. Very quiet cafe and very good for studying/working on your laptop. Free WiFi is available."
"Very adorable coffee shop! The best part? I love that you can get Somali food and drinks and also American options. I got a white Somali tea (with milk) and it was amazing. I also got 2 Sambusas and they were delicious. The worst part? Having actively worked in the Somali community, keep in mind business culture is different. It took about 15-20 minutes to get our teas. Granted, we ordered 10 but nothing was prepared ahead of time and was made right on the spot. That could be bad for some who are in a hurry but having it made from scratch was lovely and no problem for us. We did order 4 black teas and they were all made with milk. Normally, a barista would immediately make sure to remake them but in this case that didn’t happen and we just got what we got but it wasn’t a total big deal with us either. I’m sure if we had insisted, he would have happily made new drinks but it was okay either way but keep that in mind when ordering. Prices were good and it was a great spot to sit and relax for a bit. Very friendly guy at the counter!"
"This was my first time here. Parking is very limited since it’s right next to a Chinese restaurant that’s strict about parking, signs say you’ll be towed if you park there. I asked inside the café where to park, and they let me know I could use the nail spa parking since it wasn’t open, which worked out fine. The place itself is smaller than I expected and pretty crowded. I ordered a matcha, which was plain but satisfying. I had read reviews before coming and noticed someone’s pumpkin chai looked under-filled, so I avoided that. One con is definitely the area…there are a lot of homeless people around, which I’m not used to and it made me feel a little uncomfortable. Overall, it was a decent spot, but I personally wouldn’t come back."
