What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"On the ongoing quest for the best local coffee, I landed at Spyhouse. It’s located in a hotel lobby, so you simply walk in, look around like you belong there, and you’ll find it. The space is large and well designed, with a working fireplace, pool tables, and plenty of seating, making it easy to settle in whether you’re there to work, meet, or just warm up with caffeine. The coffee itself was genuinely good. The only surprise was the 10 oz cup, which I’ve never seen before and initially felt like a sizing typo. That said, the latte packs a serious punch, so quality clearly outweighs quantity here. Overall, a solid experience with good coffee, a comfortable atmosphere, and just enough personality to stand out. I’d come back if I’m in the area, and next time I’ll be fully prepared for the “compact but mighty” cup."
"Amazing specialty roaster and coffee shop in downtown Minneapolis. Cappuccino, drip coffee, and special menu seasonal latte were amazing. Top notch espresso drinks, friendly baristas, and high end up scale Massive lobby."
"*WENT ON AUGUST 2* Shop is inside of a hotel that shares their modern industrial horticulture vibe. The wait was around ten minutes to order, but that was okay because it gives you time to mull over what drink to get as they have a variety of seasonal and specialty drinks. I got the Solid Gold latte, and the turmeric and ginger gave a good kick to the oat latte without overpowering the drink. I like that if you are dining in your dishware is sustainable (with mugs and metal silverware). There is plenty of seating with outlets and a couple of pool tables as well. If I lived here I would definitely come here to study and work."
"A cozy coffee shop. Worth finding parking and going into the hotel. Great menu choices and specials. The pecan pull a part bread was excellent. Service is great."
"Stopped by this Spyhouse location on my way out of town. Nice atmosphere, good coffee but on the spendy side. Spent $16 for a small latte, bear claw pastry and banana. Looks like there is plenty of seating, though I took my order to go. Note that this is in a hotel lobby!"
