"I’m always happy when these small unassuming restaurants in a shopping center or strip mall can be so lovely and produce such great food. Patrick’s Bakery and Café was just that. Upon entering, there is so much going on. There is a full bakery display case where absolutely everything looks divine, there is an open kitchen where you can see them putting together some fabulous breakfast and lunch items, and with a fairly small footprint, the tables are tightly packed and bustling with families and friends catching up with one another. I went with their classic eggs Benedict with homemade hollandaise sauce and this delicious “Sarah‘s cake“ which was a dark chocolate dome filled with chocolate mousse and a delicious pistachio cake layer on the bottom. I would love to return when the weather is nice and I can sip some of their espresso on their cute little outdoor space."

"A Little Paris in Richfield: My Love Letter to Patrick’s Bakery & Café If you’ve ever walked into a bakery expecting nothing more than coffee and a few pastries, Patrick’s Bakery & Café will completely rewrite that expectation. This charming spot in the heart of Richfield is so much more than a typical bakery. In fact, every time I step inside, it feels like I’ve hopped on a quick flight to Paris—minus the airport hassle. Patrick’s is the kind of place where you don’t just pick up a croissant and run. You stay. You savor. You explore. And believe me, you can explore a lot. French baguettes, delicate pastries, and even escargot—yes, escargot!—have all made appearances on their menu. And the best part? They’re done right here, with that unmistakable French authenticity. Over the years, I’ve eaten my way through a delightful list of dishes: duck à l’orange, crab cakes, escargot, BBQ brisket sandwich, beef brisket salad, and the most comforting beef bourguignon. OMG. Every single one was a hit. I admit, I’m still a little bummed that the escargot and scallops have disappeared from the menu, but the new surprises keep me coming back. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Sea Breeze Salad—a light, refreshing plate that arrived looking like a work of art. My friend asked for her chicken burger on a fresh baguette instead of a brioche bun, and let’s just say… I may never look at a burger the same way again. That baguette was everything—crispy, airy, perfect. But what truly makes Patrick’s feel so special is the atmosphere. Cozy, quaint, and filled with textures of France. Lovely photos taken in Paris line the walls, complemented by the soft hum of old French music. It’s the kind of ambiance that invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. And of course, I can’t talk about Patrick's without mentioning Lu. Every time I come in, I always ask for her. She’s warm, friendly, and always attentive—one of those people who make dining feel like visiting a friend. Before my meal even arrives, there it is: a perfectly baked baguette, waiting for me like a familiar welcome. Patrick’s Bakery & Café isn’t just a place to grab a bite. It’s a neighborhood gem, a mini escape, and—at least for me—a little slice of Paris right here at home."

"When we visited for dinner it was easy and convenient to find parking and we did not wait at all to be seated. I started with the French onion soup crostini but it didn’t wow me, the lobster risotto was delicious the texture wasn’t perfect but the white wine sauce really elevated the flavors of the dish. It also nice to be able to pick up some delicious desserts to go like the truffles we got. I would visit again!"

"This little cafe had the best little pastries and the creamiest rich hot chocolate. Service was second to none. We had the French toast breakfast which we ended up eating and finishing before I thought about getting a picture was the best French toast that I ever had! We also had a strawberry and cream danish that was super flaky, and the right amount of sweet to bitter contrast with the chocolate. 10/10 recommend going here!"

"Patrick’s Bakery & Café is such a gem. The moment you walk in, it feels cozy and welcoming, and the pastry case alone will make you want one of everything. The baked goods are fresh, flaky, and full of flavor — you can really tell care goes into what they make. I’ve tried both sweet and savory items, and everything has been consistently good. The croissants are buttery, the quiches are comforting, and the coffee pairs perfectly with it all. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which makes the experience even better. It’s the kind of place you can stop by for a quick coffee or sit down and actually enjoy your time. Whether you’re meeting a friend or just treating yourself, Patrick’s is always a solid choice. I’ll definitely keep coming back."
