"This is a great place to spend time with family or friends. A very dog friendly establishment, too! The coffee drinks were expertly prepared and served at a temperature that is neither too hot or cold. The local restaurants serve food to this establishment, literally walking it over to you! Did I mention they also serve craft beer on site? Those too were well crafted and served with care and attention to detail. The barista/bartend was courteous and knowledgeable in addition to preparing those expertly crafted drinks."
"This place rocks! It’s a great place to get a beer in the evening and get a cold brew in the morning. The atmosphere is nice and chill. They are very welcoming of everyone, there are tons of women working behind the bar, a pride flag on the wall and lots of families and friends enjoying their time together here. I feel very safe and cozy here :) The cold brew is amazing and the fun bus IPA is the best in the twin cities!"
"My wife and I first went to Shakopee Brewhall soon after Ryan Lindquist had opened the new venture, and we occasionally stopped in for a short beer. Now, some eight or nine years later, the experience has been really transformed into a five star place to visit. Five of us stopped by along with our English Creme retriever to enjoy drinks together and to play some board games. It is a pet friendly brewhall, and as far as handicapped access, the first step in the picture and the manipulation of the double doors, by a partner, can be handled easily. We believe that the beers have more variety and character than in the early days, which is really fundamental. Brewmaster Ben Salyards joined the team a few years ago, and I want to call out a few of our choices from the flights we tried. I liked IPAs, so I tried the Highway 101 West Coast IPA, 6.8% ABV and 65 IBU. Most of the beers in this style hit the palate with heavy grapefruit, and I take this as a given. Highway 101 did not lead with with heavy citrus or hops; I didn't miss either, and though I only had a four ounce sample, I found it easier to drink and enjoyed it very much. I also like Porters, so I tried their Midnight Eclipse on Nitro, which is labeled a Porter-Rye with 5.2% ABV and 28 IBU. It did have the requisite overtones of coffee and chocolate, but not too much of either; the rye must have had something to do with the different flavor profile. This was very drinkable as a pint, I would reckon and enjoyed my sample. My wife likes the Mexican Lager style, and her benchmark is Indeed Brewing's beer. She and I both liked the difference of the Brewhall's Mexican Lager. We found out later that we were drinking Cinco de Shako Mexican lager, 4.8% ABV and 11 IBU; it was the 1st Place Winner of the 2025 competition in it category, sponsored by the Craft Brewers Association of Minnesota. Well, that explains that! There is a full menu of coffees and coffee-based drinks. Among our party of five we had Cafe Lattes with whipped cream and chocolate shaving, Decaf Mocha lattes with whipped cream, and three other kinds of coffee drinks: everybody was pleased. I didn't need to do this, but I decided that I was tired of hearing the term "Dirty Sodas," without knowing what this was. Claire, our cheerful and knowledgeable beertender guided me through the process: (1) pick your soda base, and I chose root beer, (2) she said that I should heavy cream and some carbonation to have a root beer float as my dirty soda. I did, and it was wonderful. We wanted to get some food, and Shakopee Brewhall has an menu from next door Turtle's Bar and Grill which has a full lunch and dinner menu. We ordered on the phone and picked up our freshly prepared food twenty minutes later. This is a great arrangement, and Turtle's is a longtime family restaurant on the main street of downtown. Everything about our experience was first rate, and we enjoyed playing games in a quiet environment. The final little customer service touch was bringing "pup cups" of whipped cream for our Golden too. He was pleased."
"Shakopee Brewhall was a good stop for me. The people were super fun and the server was great. For my stop they had 14 beers on tap including a Mexican lager, Vienna lager, dry hopped lager, 2 hazy IPAs, west coast IPA, fruited gose, honey sour ale, kolsch, cucumber lager, Pistachio cream lager, dark brown ale, plus seltzers and NA options. The other patrons were great. I will stop back again."
