from Google"We had a great time at Iron Ranger the other night. We did not realize the atmosphere of the back patio is exactly what we have been looking for in Saint Paul. The shade, the real plant dividers, and incredible food certainly will have us coming back. I gave it 4-stars because we did experience some delays in getting our first round of drinks, which sounds harsh, but I'm much happier waiting on food (we knew we arrived at the end of the dinner rush) if I at least have a drink in my hand. Our waitress was attentive, who stopped by occasionally to simply tell us she had an eye on food, drinks, etc. (Nice to know we were at least being seen - great hospitality training.) My girlfriend and I chose to get the (what look like) homemade chips and guac with salsa on the side. We then split the Big Dill pizza and the Bourbon burger. Both hit the spot for a sweet and savory mix. Pizza was bigger than expected, which was nice since I was hungry! Our tab was $108 before tip, but we also had two drinks each when you could certainly get bye with just one a piece. We will be coming back for a patio chill more often this summer! Dog friendly patio is a great touch, too."
"This place is great! The entrance is split so you can pick a side, any side, to sit on. They also have a patio out front on Grand plus a more secluded patio out back. Which is where we choose to sit. Some might say the menu is small but I say it’s curated. Everything is tasty, and my personal favorite were the nachos. Piled high and layered with the perfect amount of cheese, veggies and meat. YUM!"
"Heard about this place on Instagram/Facebook and added it to my “places to try” list. Since I was in the neighborhood, my mom and I stopped in. The atmosphere was cool—just a little on the dark side for me, so I had a hard time reading the menu. Still, the ambiance was really fun. Think “country club up north meets speakeasy.” Our server Jess was amazing. Super friendly and answered all our questions in detail. We ordered the deep-fried pickles as an appetizer and two different flatbreads. The pickles were phenomenal—probably the best deep-fried pickles I’ve ever had. They’re served as spears, the breading is super crunchy, and the pickles stayed really crisp. The ranch that comes with them is perfect. For flatbreads, one was a hot-honey style and the other had pepperoni and hot peppers. Both were absolutely delicious. Also, they’re way bigger than you expect—one flatbread could easily serve two people. Lastly, the happy hour prices were amazing. Highly recommend. We noticed a back patio, but the weather wasn’t cooperating, so I’m excited to come back in the summer to check it out. There was also a scotch bar (or something connected) that I definitely want to try next time too. Long story long: we’ll 100% be back. Great time and definitely recommended."
"The patio is gorgeous and very cozy in the summer. Their furniture adds to the patio vibe. It is like entering a oasis when coming from Grand Ave. The food is amazing! Everything is fresh and variety is great. We had everything from burger/sandwich to salad and fried fish. Everything tasted great. The money value is definitely given!"
"Iron Ranger was incredible. Amazing drinks and food! I had the porketta sandwich and my wife had the pasty. We would describe it as delicious comfort food. Also, the house old fashioned was top tier. Our server, Lizzy, was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!!!"
