What People Are Saying
from Google"Monday fall funday breakfast of Love. Breakfast was spectacular as was the coffee. The French toast was so good and hashbrowns were excellent. Service was so happy and friendly. Love it Thanks High Hat , I'll definitely be back to try other items. Lots of parking too."
"The food was just okay… overall underseasoned and a bit overpriced. We ordered a bowl, the migas, and the huevos divorciados. The migas, in particular, could use improvement in presentation; it looked unappetizing. It was also disappointing that they don’t offer gluten-free bread, which feels like a standard option for brunch spots these days. The wait was long, and since they don’t take reservations or phone numbers, you have to stick around nearby. In winter, that would be pretty unpleasant since waiting outside would be too cold. On the positive side, parking in the neighborhood is easy. However, the restaurant is quite loud. it was difficult to hear the people sitting across from me. We were also asked to leave after about an hour so they could turn the table, which meant we couldn’t even finish our coffee (it was a busy weekend in their defense). Overall, this isn’t a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for a relaxed brunch experience."
"To any customers looking at reviews, make sure to read the comment the restaurant left under my original review. To the restaurant, you have no idea what I have been going through in this awful time and how it has affected me. Maybe I just wanted a nice cup of tea that's not bitter from steeping too long. And that was only one part of my review. Unfortunately, from your complete overreaction, I know just how pleasant the staff at this establishment is and I won't give them my business in the future. Original review - While the service was good and the cinnamon roll was fantastic (I think it's made from croissant dough) that is where it ends. I got the eggs Benedict with no pepper and hash browns. The hash browns had no flavor, they weren't worth eating. The hollandaise sauce was very spicy! You could see tons of little red flecks all throughout. I had to scrape it off so I could eat any of it. I will say that the bacon was good, and the English muffin was exceptional, but you couldn't taste those over the other spices. And a thing that is just an annoyance, I ordered hot tea and the bag was in the hot water when it was brought to the table, so I couldn't keep track of the steep time."
"We recently visited on a busy day (Juneteenth) and despite this combined with short staffing, the service was great and overall very fast. I tried a pistachio matcha drink called The Hulk - it was in the coffee section of the menu but I think it was just flavored milk. Despite this, it was decent and refreshing. My kids really loved the Aloha Parfait - it was so beautifully presented in a papaya! I wish it had more yogurt, since my kids love yogurt. We ended up asking for more and the staff obliged which was nice. Cornbread Benedict was incredible. My husband also really loved his Huevos Divorciados. I loved the unique flavors and South American fusion. The entry to get in is a bit narrow and my 2 and 3 year old were having a hard time sitting still. No high chairs were offered to us so we couldn't contain them and one of the staff members seemed a bit flustered by them wandering. Because of this, I wouldn't say it's the most family friendly but maybe we caught them on an off day."
"I love The High Hat! I went there last night for my 2nd time for some great local music. The food, service and vibe are great! They’re supportive of local music and attentive to the details that make a bar / restaurant work! Zion plays the bar like a fiddle 😊"
