"I have lived in Columbia for 3 years and I can definitively say that Lakota is my favorite coffee joint, hands down. I have never had a bad experience there. Whether it is a date, studying, or spending some time embroidering, I love going to Lakota. Their coffee is fantastic (stronger than the neighboring coffee shops, which I prefer) and their staff is very nice. A while back I was planning to study abroad and needed a gift for my host family. So, one of the staff offered to help me find the perfect bag of beans. It was a hit! Lakota is also a key player in its community. After reaching out and explaining the needs of my small organization, they offered us a donation. 10/10 establishment."

"Update !!! Andrew reached out to me personally apologized, told me that he talked to his staff, I received a full refund & reward points. I truly appreciate him making it right & speaking with his staff. I’ll be back next week as usual. :) I come in regularly to get a sausage, egg, bagel sandwich, sometimes coffee or lunch. I usually order online because I work downtown & have limited breaks so it’s easier to order online & go pick up. Most of the time by the time the app says my orders ready they haven’t even started it so I loose 15-20 mins of my lunch sometimes I loose a whole 30 which sucks I just wish there was a better way to do online pickup. But today I got my breakfast bagel walked all the way back to the shop I work at to open my bag & find a completely burnt bagel I’m not someone who enjoys complaining but it just sucks when you can only eat the sausage & the egg instead of the sandwich you pay for… I’m only giving the food a 2 today because it was so incredibly Burnt but normally it’s wonderful."

"Coffee and a bagel this morning at Lakota. Great to find a parking space early and then spend three or so hours this morning using this space as my first "office" of the day. Good for working, good for meetups, great for coffee. Friendly service from a nice young lady at the counter who took my order. Despite the queue, it moved quickly. Lots of comfortable seating though more of them with power outlets would be better. I will definitely return to Lakota!"
