"I tipped over 20% to be treated like trash. Totally gross atmosphere, employees, patrons, and mid coffee. Never going back which I guess was their intention. Ordered a traditional macchiato which is 2 shots of espresso and a dollop of milk foam to go. When ordering they grilled me whether I knew what a traditional macchiato was. For context I've been to Europe, I'm a fan of espresso, and yes, I know what a macchiato is. I tried to brush off the rudeness masked as them educating me and said yes the traditional macchiato is good. My tiny mouthwash to go cup had *maybe* one shot of espresso; a literal splash of liquid. It was so light weight I checked to see if there was even espresso in the cup because I felt like they were playing a joke on me. The vibe was off and employees were fake so I left asap because I dislike confrontation and mean girls. Outside I complained to my husband about the tiny amount of espresso. Someone had the audacity to stop me on the sidewalk to snarkily tell me it wasn't a starbucks macchiato. I was shocked and said "I know..." as they walked off snobbily. I drank my tablespoon of espresso that tasted okay and got a life lesson on which coffee shop to avoid like the plague."

"This place is awesome. I've checked out several coffee shops across the region, and Shortwave stands out for having incredible coffee, tea, and the perfect ambience for studying and hanging. I definitely enjoy the jazzy atmosphere and chill vibes for getting some work done or catching up with a friend. The moroccan mint ice tea was super good as well."

"This is a treasure hidden in Alley A between 9th and 10th street. I ordered the cardamom latte, but they were out of cardamom syrup. I opted for a safe choice: caramel latte. It was delicious and beautiful and perfectly flavored; not too sweet. Then I heard the barista pitching the positives of a lavender latte, so I ordered one. It was so delicate! It had a light aroma of lavender a slightly sweet, creamy taste that was very pleasing. The baristas were so nice, helpful, and informed about the products offered. I will definitely be back to try the cardamom latte!"
