What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"This is such a cute space. Our server was incredibly nice and the drinks & food were phenomenal. The Hot chicken and waffles is SO good. Don't be afraid of the "Nashville" part of the description; it wasn't spicy at all."
"It was our first time here and went during restaurant week. The Elvis oatmeal was good, the bagel was great wished I had the other half. The sloppy joe was good just wished the temperature was warmer. The chicken and waffles was sub par. The chicken was over cooked and barely had a few bites of actual chicken meat. The flavor of the syrup and butter on waffle was good but the waffle was over cooked. We would go back and try again but order from the menu."
"My wife and I Absolutely loved our lunch at Brown & Loe! We split ordered the Apache Burger, and it was incredible — juicy, flavorful, and the greasy fry bread added the perfect crispy-chewy texture. seriously one of the best burgers I’ve had in KC. We also shared the sweet corn hush puppies with pork belly and hot honey — the flavors were on point, and the hush puppies were fried to golden perfection. Sweet, savory, and crispy all in one bite. To top it all off, we finished with a slice of key lime pie and coconut cream tart — both were light, refreshing, and the perfect ending to a great meal. We sat out on the patio, which had a great view and relaxed vibe right in the heart of the River Market. Excellent service thanks to our server Emily, and amazing food— we’ll definitely be back!"
"What a wonderful dinner at Brown & Loe. Had the Pimento Cheese dip for an appetizer. The special was pasta with steak meat sauce, pesto and Goat Cheese. A wonderful presentation but picture was not taken when delivered. Key lime pie was dessert along with a single cube single malt scotch to top off dinner. Was an old bank and way into the kitchen is through the Vault door."
"Stacy our server was attentive and I recommend you ask for her if you go in. We had the corn cup, very tasty starter. Then my wife ate the arugula salad with grilled shrimp, liked the freshness & the cheese. I had the spaghetti squash, with grilled shrimp also. (What can I say, we like shrimp). I started with aviation cocktail. It was okay. But the old fashioned I changed to was fabulous!! Barrel aged Jefferson oceans. Make sure to get luxardo cherries. Fun place down on River market. Full bar. Lots of choices."
"Went back and had the Turkey Tea sandwich which was absolutely delicious, and I love the fries here! Service was very slow and inattentive this time but it..."
