"We had the most amazing date night at Chaz on the Plaza, located inside the beautiful Raphael Hotel in the heart of Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza. From start to finish, everything about our experience was outstanding. The atmosphere is warm, romantic, and inviting — perfect for a special night out. We were also treated to live music, which made the evening feel even more special. 🎶 We started with a couple of glasses of wine and some appetizers — the Kansas City Mac & Cheese, Farm to Market bread, lobster bisque, and The Raphael salad — all were absolutely delicious. For our entrées, we had the filet mignon, herb-crusted lamb chops, and lobster bucatini pasta. Each dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. We ended with the warm peach cobbler, which was the perfect sweet touch to an incredible meal. The food, service, and ambiance were all top-notch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening. If you’re looking for a romantic, upscale dining experience in Kansas City, Chaz on the Plaza is a must-visit. "Decided to try this spot for a romantic date night and it was exactly the vibe I was going for. Felt upscale without being pretentious, and had a cozy intimate atmosphere. The food was great and all of our interactions with staff were great as well. Our server gave really good recommendations. Pricing was reasonable and the location is so nice for seeing the plaza lights right outside."

"I did love the entire atmosphere of the restaurant! Very 1960s cocktail lounge! The food however, was definitely not worth the price. I would highly recommend the lamb chops here because they were cooked beautifully. The rest however, was not worth the price. The mashed potatoes had no butter nor garnish. The carrots still had stems and roots. Disgusting. I was excited for the dessert, however, the peach cobbler was mushy and soggy with my ice cream already a puddle on top. As a Black American, I found it insulting that the peach cobbler was not made to surpass my cultural standard. I will not be visiting for the food again, only the cocktails because those were expertly crafted! I can’t remember when I had a dirty martini made so correctly! Although, my enthusiasm about my cocktail was curved when I receive the bill in which this restaurant charged PER GARNISH on the cocktails. Oh no, will not be returning ever so often due to the outrageous pricing and flavor lack thereof."

"Went here for restaurant week. It wasn't my first time here. The food is outstanding and the chef really knows how to put a meal together. Wonderful flavors with delicious consistency. The waitstaff is attentive and prompt, but not constantly interrupting. This is an outstanding place for an enjoyable dinner or a date night. The only thing I would change is their live music (Though skillful) is a bit on the loud side."
