"Had the good fortune this morning to walk into Equal Minded Cafe for coffee and breakfast. Wow! The coffee was spot on - flavorful, perfect temp with a beautiful foam on top. We both chose the Hot Honey Bacon Melt, and if you’ve never had hot honey on a breakfast sandwich, you need to head over there and try it. It was a perfect harmony of sweet, salty, savory with the lovely fluffiness of perfectly cooked eggs to balance it out. It was served with chips - and as my partner commented, “I wasn’t sure about the chips but it’s delicious!” And it was! Our experience there was heightened by the presence of the man who gave us suggestions for breakfast and made our coffee. Don’s friendly presence when you walk in is only the first part of a great experience at Equal Minded Cafe. It was clear as others came in that he makes everyone feel as welcomed as we were, including the children. PS: there is a game corner for the kids! This morning was great! We’ll definitely be back! "I’m late in writing this review, but Equal Minded Café is like my second home. I love the calm atmosphere—very chill vibes and welcoming. The lattes and coffee are good and reasonably priced, the chai is really great, and the honey bacon croissant breakfast sandwich is absolutely delicious and mouthwatering (it runs out pretty quickly!). I also love the unique style and presence the café brings. There are board games for friends and family to play, and at times customers come in and play the piano or guitar, which adds a really nice touch while you’re enjoying your coffee. I also want to mention the baristas! Each and every one of them adds a unique touch to the coffee shop—friendly and so approachable. Shout-out to the owner for creating such a comfortable experience. Definitely recommend!! ☕✨ Side note: gets busy during events."

"I have been looking for a great Dirty Chai since I was in DC. I found it y'all! And the grilled blueberry muffin with bananas and whip cream. Equal Minded is the place to be. Barista was fast, welcoming and energetic. Great experience."

"I'm new to the area but I decided to give this place a try and I'm so glad I did! This place is such a vibe, and although the service is on the slower side, I'm not mad because the smoothie and latte was great!! I was immediately welcomed as I walked in despite a few people waiting and only 1 person working. The gentleman working was super friendly and acknowledge the longer wait time. I love being able to support a local shop, you can just taste the difference especially knowing there's some extra love/heart put into what you order, which is something I don't feel when ordering from a chain place."
