from Google"La Bodega delivered an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. We ordered a variety of tapas to share, and everything was fabulous—both in flavor and presentation. The variety and balance of the dishes made for a fun and satisfying meal. We started with the Papas Fritas, which were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and addictive. The Albondigas Caseras (house-made meatballs) were rich and flavorful, served in a sauce that was perfect for soaking up with bread. The Vieras Romesco (seared scallops with romesco sauce) were tender and beautifully paired with the bold, nutty sauce. The Elote added a sweet and spicy contrast with creamy, smoky flavors that really stood out. The Octopus Pasta was unique and memorable—tender octopus over perfectly cooked pasta with a complex, savory sauce that tied everything together beautifully. Finally, the Dátiles con Jamón y Chorizo (dates wrapped in ham and chorizo) were a perfect mix of sweet, salty, and spicy—one of our favorites of the night. Service was excellent—attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly without being intrusive. The ambiance was vibrant and warm, making it a great place for a relaxed yet upscale evening."
"Located right off of summit and Southwest boulevard, with plenty of parking under the overpass just to the of the restaurant. Spanish eatery with a great selection of wines, tapas, and authentic cuisine. Tons of great outdoor seating with cozy areas and lamp warmers. Beautiful mosaics and artwork on the inside. Clean design with an open floor plan, decent size bar, and a view into the kitchen. The food was really good, but a tiny bit spicy for my very bland palette, and there was so much to choose from. They were out of a few things that were on the menu and a few of the clams were not open and my son's paella but all of that is really just negligible. The service was lovely and we really enjoyed our lunch there ❤️"
"La Bodega is outstanding. While the indoor dining experience is attractive, it can be somewhat loud due to the predominance of hard surfaces. The outdoor patio, however, is exceptional—unfortunately, the temperature during our visit was too cold to fully enjoy it. The food is delicious and full of flavor. Every dish we ordered was excellent, with the octopus standing out as a highlight; it was cooked perfectly. Although I did not order sangria on this visit, I highly recommend the red or white sangria for sharing with friends. Overall, we love La Bodega and enjoy dining there!"
"We had a fantastic time at La Bodega yesterday! They’ve put together a wonderful curated lunch menu for KC Restaurant Week that really captures the spirit of Spain through their decor, lively bar, and vibrant atmosphere. The Tapas sampler for our second course was a perfect way to explore a variety of flavors. Starter: We kicked things off with the House-made Black Bean Soup. It had a lovely tang to it and was a great start to the meal. The Tapas Sampler: 1. Pincho de Pollo con Chorizo: Skewered BBQ-style chicken and chorizo with a garlic cumin aioli. 2. Tortilla Española: A classic potato and onion egg torta paired with roasted red pepper aioli. 3. Dátiles con Jamón y Chorizo: Savory chorizo wrapped in pancetta and finished with a fig coulis. 4. Bolas de Arroz: Crispy, flavorful rice balls. 5. Higos y Queso de Cabra: A toasted baguette topped with goat cheese, roasted peppers, and fig coulis. 6. Brotxeta: Succulent shrimp wrapped in pancetta. Highlights: The Higos y Queso de Cabra (#5), Dátiles (#3), and Pincho de Pollo (#1) were the absolute stars of the show for me—I enjoyed every single bite of those three! To wrap up, the staff recommended the Almond Cake and the Cheesecake. The almond cake was a total hit, while the cheesecake was a decent, though less memorable, finish"
"Some friends of ours who have lived in KC for a long time recommended La Bodega as one of their favorite places. I had a friend visiting from Washington DC and my wife and I wanted to take her someplace cool and close to the Westin where she was staying. La Bodega fit the bill. The food was good and the service was good. We had a variety of dishes. I enjoy the tapas experience. We ordered the first one, which was a special and it came out quickly and it was delicious. Then I ordered a few more things. And was a little bit surprised when they brought them all within two minutes of each other. So we had four different plates to try all at the same time and they were just getting colder as we worked our way through the dishes. The kitchen/server timing could’ve been better. That was disappointing. Great sangria, a nice atmosphere and a lovely restaurant."
