from Google & Yelp"Here's a guy who doesn't drink coffee writing a review about a coffee place. Given that I'm not in to their "main event" I would have a hard time giving them the full five stars. That said, of the four things I was able to try on a recent visit I had the following thoughts: Avocado toast - absolutely the best bite I had. I loved the simplicity of this dish! Toast, avocado coarsely mashed with salt & pepper, some micro greens, crumbled goat cheese and a drizzle of honey. It was simultaneously sweet and savory plus crunchy and creamy. I wish I hadn't agreed to split it with Kid 2. Apple and cream cheese toast was a close second. The apples were cooked until soft but retained just the right amount of firmness. Pumpkin bread was another yum. I liked the slight saltiness and the firm but moist bread. This is one that would benefit from being served warm. It may be available that way but it wasn't offered. Coffee cake muffin fell short when compared to everything else but probably was just overshadowed. I wouldn't characterize myself as part of the toast trend but I sure did love the avocado toast! I also appreciated the very generous discount they offered to people who brought gifts in for the donation event that lead to my first visit. Given that they are open 7-4 on weekdays and have WiFi available I am likely to be back to get some work done while having a snack one of these days."
"This place is a hidden gem! We’ve eaten here and had coffee here several times and each time it almost gets better! They have a small menu, with some seasonal items, but each thing I’ve had is absolutely delicious! The way they perfectly blend simple flavors, both in their food and their latte flavors, is nothing short of magical. Today I had the almond croissant and it is the perfect combination of buttery, nutty, flaky, and decadent; I got my 12 year old the pumpkin snickerdoodle and he actually said “mmm so soft and crispy with just the right amount of cinnamon.” Oh and the autumn flight was everything I hoped it would be! Stout, sweet, seasoned, perfectly balanced. If you’re ever near Clayton/Richmond Heights do not miss your opportunity to try Coma Coffee!"
"10/10 coffee shop for those desiring to study or work on a labtop. It has very nice ambiance with lots of natural lights. There are lots of seatings at two levels as well as patio seatings for nice sunny days."
"I always really enjoy going to Coma. Their coffee beans are really good, the atmosphere is great, location is great, and it's more than just a coffee shop. I think Coma might be the best coffee shop that has a full food menu. Complete package. Their double Coma smash burger with fries were really good. Were they the best burger and fries I've ever had? No. But, it's a coffee shop, and for a coffee shop; it is extremely impressive with the quality of food they have. Not to mention, they serve alcohol as well. All around win. Check this place out. Coffee: 9/10 Coma Double Smash Burger: 8/10 French Fries: 7/10"
"Love Coma! Especially the upstairs area for more low key vibes. Mercy J and Ella P are great baristas with great recommendations! I got the sugar cookie latte and it was great! I think coffee and food are the strengths of the shop over tea. Love when I see the managers and owner being friendly and nice to the baristas!"
"Stopped in Friday morning planning to just grab an Americano, but the muffin case at the checkout caught my eye, and that led to the breakfast tacos... and..."
