What People Are Saying
from Google"The Aviary is a bustling place with outstanding atmosphere, service, and food. I called ahead for easy call ahead seating and avoided the wait. I had the breaded chicken breast French toast and bacon. My dish was fabulous and my date had chicken salad sandwich. The coffee at the Aviary is excellent too. One of my favorite stops in Springfield. I highly recommend! I will be back again and again."
"The food is amazing as always. I highly recommend the smoked salmon toast! It was the perfect blend of sweet and savory. My daughters love the crepes, funky monkey is their go to. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp and grits. The coffee was delicious and strawberry sangria was a great finisher."
"not a thing to complain about. well maybe the wait on the weekends is a little bit but other than that what a delight for Springfield. Especially the service. Adam might be the best waiter I've ever met. The place was very clean. The food is big portions and its really affordable. They have an amazing cocktail menu as well. I'm not sure what took us so long to come here but we will be back for sure. I'm wondering about the name. Aviary. I expected plants and birds I think. I had salmon toast with poached egg and avocado and couldnt finish it. Was amazing. Blows First Watch out the water!"
"Was a wonderful rustic environment with plenty of woodworking, low/natural lighting plenty of birdhouses painting and open outside views.Quick to seated even in a packed house service was slow, but that’s to be expected with how busy it was. Now on to the meat and potatoes, or should I say bacon and eggs I have the pleasure of trying the: IS IT MORNING? Topped With Crème Fraiche & Parmesan, filled with scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Caramelized Onion, cheddar jack cheese. Wrapped in made to order crepes. This was a very delectable way to have brunch all your tried and true classics rolled into a sweet and savory mix every thing melded well and it wasn’t overly sweet or salty. Was huge portion with 3 total crepes with a side. Speaking of sides the bacon cheddar Grits were to die for as a southerner born and raised these grits hit the spot so good I had to get some to take home. Overall the entire meal was filling tasty and not to costly with a price point of about 10-20$ a meal!"
"Overall cute restaurant but I would recommend avoiding Saturday brunch hours as it is very loud and chaotic during those hours making the whole experience less enjoyable. Had the burger with fries and it was really good and filling. The fries are more like a thick homemade chip and they are very good. I’ve also had the Nutella and fruit crepe in the past and they are okay- good value during happy hour if they still do that. Their crepes are on the thicker side though. I will say that despite how busy it is on Saturdays, the workers were still very nice and service was not overly slow."
